you should throw that skin away... its shitty.

put it in an email and send it to me. i will take care of it and delete it, no problem.
no, better even. it is so ugly, it has to be deleted multiple times. please put it on some mediafire place, so the entire SAS community can download and cut, burn, explode, dissect destroy and delete it.

trust me.

Hundertz, that's uncalled for, mate - i don't recall seeing any skins from you, and he has also said that it's a wip - if you don't like it, fine, but keep the negativity to yourself, where it'll start festering and eventually make your head explode, or something.
please don't put down other's work in the open forums.
i think we've discussed this before, and i'd rather not be repeating myself with these matters.

Malone I think you misunderstood him   :D  I think he rather wanted Zargos to share the skin, but he said in an ironic way ^^ I don't think if he wanted him to really delete the skin he'd have said this :

I think milantarik is correct  ;)..btw however, I always had a faible for blue/red skins, so this one looks like it can be a nice addition.
Cheers

milantrik +1

;)

actually i like what i saw... the red and white stripes give it a "Racer" style, yet the navy blue makes it clear that this is a combat aircraft.
so... this skin is a "pimp my Bearcat" skin in my book. brings out the speed of the beast if you know what i mean.

and just wanted a way to get my hands on it.

*XXL grin*

I believe he was kidding.....

Maby it is but it is no way the recipiant can know that . Malones note of this is well called for. A contributor to IL 2 society should be most welcomed and not be excluded like that. I second Malones statement and ask HundertzehnGustav to think a bit before he write next time

for chrissakes...
i wrote that up twice, it took me like five minutes to get that thing built up.
using a " 8)" seems not to have helped clarify my true feelings towards the painters work.

i shall use the [humor]...[/humor] marks or invent the [irony][/irony] tags.

Well, all the skins I introduced in this thread will soon be available.
Gerd is now "fine tuning" the UV mapping in order to get a easy skinnable plane.
Once the UV mapping is finished, I will upload a template and some skins.

By the way, the F8F skin I've introduced is the plane of Commander H.E Cook, leader of the 19th Air Group abord Boxer carrier in 1948.

After all there is no reason to make you waiting.
I've juste uploaded a small pack with a template and 3 skins ( 2 US and 1 French).
They only work with the latest version of Gerd's mod.
Of course they are WIP thus weathering and paint chipping are not completely finished for some of them.
And some details will certainly change when Gerd has finished the UV mapping.
But you can already test them and report any bug you can see.

Download here.

PS :
Thank you for your comments and support.
And don't forget Gerd who deserves much more than I do.

This UV mapping changing purpose is Skinner can easy nose number texturing. :D

I am creating a template that can understand  UV mapping position of the antenna wire and inner canopy and inner cowl etc.

Please wait next version.
