Hi all,
a freind of mine bought IL-2 on steam and is trying to get the HSFX mod pack to work but the game fails to get to the load screen. Does anyone here have the steam version of IL-2 and have solved this problem? His install of IL-2 is patched up to 4.10(cause its steam), and the HSFX mod pack is version 5.01(HSFX v5.0+hotfix).

Mellow,
does he have a MOD activator? If it's only the official game it doesn't support any MOD. You have to use a MODActivator as the ones you will find in the SAS Essentials. Mainly an il2fb.exe that works with a wrapper (the original one of QTim il2fb.exe/wrapper.dll or my version il2fb.exe/il2fbPAL.dll) and some basic contents as the buttons, etc.

No he doesn't have a mod activator, but I'll send him a link to the SAS ModAct. Thanks for the help benito

You need this for any mod version I believe if you got il2 from Steam ?
