The latest version has more objects.
I think maybe the Mid-East Objects are the ones you are missing.

Have you got these in your static.ini   (just a small sample)

Yes, I don't have the objects related to the 1948 front (groups of houses, painted in bright colours). I do have all Egypt objects though; I can compare my objects from my two installs, DBW1.6 and SAS ModAct3.6 (4.101).

You should persevere with the Universal Static Checker.
This will tell you exactly what is missing.
It is my standard tool for installing DBW maps into HSFX5

Yes, that's what I am doing; I followed your instructions, first opened the MedWOI map folder and clicked on "actors.static.ini" and the damn thing pointed: "there is no static.ini"!

Go to the Path section and Clear the path
Do not set the path. That way you may get the manual option.

I am running mine straight from the compressed exe file.
I have not even extracted it. Still works ok.

No chance. Still I get "select static.ini manually" or "there is no static.ini". It used to work flawlesly in the past... Anyway, I give up, I have the map in my DBW folder and it works fine there, so no problem! Many thanks again,

That is what I get too. Then you click on OK and an explorer window opens and I browse to the static.ini in MODS\STD and click on it.

I dug out an old static.ini (probably from stock v4.101)
And compared the map with it using the Static.ini Checker.
The list below can be used as a check list by comparing with your own static.ini
If you are missing any objects post a reply saying what you are missing.

From a quick glance I recognise Canon's Objects, Northsea Objects and MidEast Objects

There are 296 objects listed

As I say above, I have this map running fine in HSFX5.
All you need to do is to track down the missing objects.  :)
Most, if not all, are in Boomers Latest Objects Pack. The SFS version.

THX a mot for the link asheshouse, this map loads and works like a charm in a 4.09m "hand modded" game (no pack)

Now we need missions ... ::)

I tried to import missions made for the previous Italy vol map, they do work but you get ships that navigate in a sea of ... sand ... of course, but well I replaced them with tanks and that did it ...!!  ;D
