 Those new Catalyst 9.12's did not solve the corrupted text (turns into blocks) yet. Might be these were a "hotfix" release, today should come official ones from ATI/AMD. Hopefully fixing a memory leak in OGL drivers. This dreaded "blocky text" in IL-2 comes only if using OGL and Perfect landscape. If using Excellent or below there is no problem or if you drop the atioglxx.dll from an older version to your IL2-folder.

 Will see if I have them Another option to use latest drivers is to first go offline and play a track or something so the text "normalizes" as it does. Then join a server via game thru Multiplayer with IP..

It all depends on OS you have and is it 32 or 64 bit. Just download 9.10 drivers (latest that are working fine), extract them with 7-zip or just run them but don't install anything. Next step is to find atioglxx.dl_ and place it on C:, then run CMD and type this: expand c:\atioglxx.dl_ atioglxx.dll, hit enter after that. Copy atioglxx.dll to your IL-2 root folder.

Btw I'm running 9.12 hotfix here (Win7 64-bit), with atioglxx.dll (from 9.10) and it works ok.

 I run Win7 Home Premium 64-bit with the latest 9.12 hotfix drivers. There was a solution to the garbled text on ATI forums, will check if it works. Damn shame ATI has problems with IL-2..missing my nVidia for that, never a single glitch with IL-2

Im running 9.12 and the only thing bad so far is the text, but after a few mins it is normal. Graphics looks great, (so far).

Here you go, atioglxx.dll (from 9.10 version):
9-10_vista64_win7_64
9-10_vista32_win7_32
9-10_xp64
9-10_xp32

Just install latest 9.12 drivers (or hotfix) normally and put this atioglxx.dll in your IL-2 root folder. It's simplest solution afaik

 TY..So damn frustrating to get ATI work in IL-2 Sure does work in Excellent, but Perfect gives whatever anomalies Oh well..other games I throw at this 5870 just give smooth FPS and superior image quality..

By some speculations 10.1 drivers should be out on 7th of january, with full OpenGL 3.2 support. So maybe they will fix IL-2 as well

 Really hope so as very dissapointing to see my old 280GTX kick my new ATI in FPS..just need to fly over Kuban and waahaa
