Tainan team has updated their mod pack to version 1.10.

Tainan-Kosho mod pack v1.10 can be downloaded at the Tainan download site http://depot.la.coocan.jp/site/index.html

Install instructions:
First remove or disable old version of Tainan mod pack and other Tainan mods you have installed, because they are all in this pack.
Then install the mod pack (folder Tainan_kosho_MOD) into your MODS folder and the skins in the skinpack where they belong.
Then remove or disable folders com, gui and i18n inside folder Tainan_kosho_MOD, because those include duplicates of buttons, air.ini and other important files that we don't want here at SAS. Also Missions folder includes only one background image, so you can remove or disable it also, if you want.

Then move the maps in Tainan_kosho_MOD/Maps to your MAPMODS folder, add the following to your all.ini and remove folder Tainan_kosho_MOD/Maps to avoid duplicate files.

Birdman is sending me the buttons and classfiles. I was looking for an excuse to post a new buttons with Histomods updates in anyway, so I will just include this also.

I updated our buttons last night. 4.7 now contains the tainan FMs, except the N1K5J mod they seem to have in there, but did not inlcude in the pack, probably cause they could not get it to work, will now work with SAS buttons when they release it because I found their spelling mistake in the buttons file and fixed it.

Also, SAS buttons will not utilize their new soundfile for the J2Ms at this time, due to obviouls incompatibility with other mod systems it creates.

Nice pack it seems, I should download it sometimes.

Dear Tainan Group, next time, please make it easier for me next time by sending the changed FM's seperately, or, of you send the whole buttons, please make sure it is an UPDATED one, with the latest HSFX FM fixes in, and also, please don't include so many CHANGED STOCK FLYABLE FM's.

That would realy help us little people!

I updated our buttons last night. 4.7

Oh, I have to poke them in the ribs, because you will remember last time, one of the (crap) reasons they gave for not allowing anyone to use their mods outside AAA or HSFX was because we apparently changed stock flyable FMs. These now are the FMs of planes that were flyable in the stock game.

So I got together at that stage with Monguse, and we picked through every buttons file we could find, and found that, indeed, a few parameters of stock flyable planes have been changed from the stock versions, but, that this was present in AAA,HSFX,UP and SAS buttons (and everyone elses) These seemed to have been mistakes that crept in over time and versions.

So, we identified these , and changed them in SAS, then also in HSFX and UP.

So it was surprising to me when Tainan brought their latest "online fairness compatibility" buttons, that not only did they NOT have the latest essential fixes and edits from HSFX in their buttons, but they also reverted to these old mistakes. I understand the mistake: they just used outdated buttons, and were too lazy to ask for help from people in the know. But, since they were happy to try to torpedo me and my friends last time around about this, I am glad to return the favour:

So technically, (even though it is  just worth laughing about) at this moment, the only team in modding who are changing the FM's of stock flyable planes, and thus, who are online cheaters, are the TAINAN group.

What would be nice is if these guys whould one day look around and see that, for all their precious support of aaa/hsfx, the ONLY site that are supporting them by including their FM's in buttons, are us. I even use their B5N FMs for our online buttons, but I fixed it so there is less chance of smokebug. AFAIK SAS is the ONLY site that uses Tainan's FM's for these.

Thanks to the great buttons master Sir Cirx I m now quite happy to use this pack in a SAS 4.09 version.
I appreciate any new Japanese plane mod that becomes available. They are always severely lacking.

I waited patiently until all the huff died down and something was able to be done about the buttons problem.

I have always enjoyed their NIK planes. They fly like a dream.
