I did have something unusual happen while building a mission in FMB for the Djibouti Map. When the mission was nearly completed, I found that that the FMB menu bar disappeared when I zoomed out. When I zoomed back in the menu bar came back. There were other windows open on the screen, like the object or conditions boxes, which also disappeared along with the menu bar. I tried to get a screen shot with the console on but I got a black image instead. The only console statement that suggested a problem said, "java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException".
Also at this time, "4>" appeared at the bottom of the console statements and when I tried to type in a mission description, the menu boxes appear in the upper left corner for certain alphabets (type "f" and get the menu for "Load Map", "Loading ...", etc, type "e" and get "Conditions", "Description", etc., and type "v" and get "Object", "Landscape", etc.). All other letters show up in the description box as normal.
Note that I had Frog's Formation Mod installed at the time and had used the mouse wheel zoom feature extensively. When the problem occurred, I closed the game and disabled that mod. When I re-opened the game, I was able to complete building the mission with no problem. So, it appears that there could be a compatibility problem.
In any case, I do like Frog's mod. So, I re-instated it, but avoided using the mouse wheel zoom when I started building a second Djibouti mission. I had no problem, when I zoomed in and out the old fashion way. However, just as I was close to completing the mission, I tried the mouse wheel zoom a few times, but failed to reproduce the previous problems. So, I think it may be a matter of how many times you use the mouse wheel zoom that determines whether or not you have some kind of memory upset.
So, I'll keep Frog's mod enabled, but minimize the times I use the mouse wheel zoom when building a mission on the Djibouti Map. I have not had this problem with the mouse wheel zoom on other maps, such as the Madrid Map.
Has anyone else had a problem like this?
Cheers,
