Thank you Gents

For another brilliant mosquito mod, we are now more or less there on wartime mossie variants.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful as this mod is just out, but do you think you may be able to turn your skills to a late war nightfighter version at some time please? a NFXIX would make me a happy man.

Thanks again all

regards

Thanks for this beast, but unfortunately I cannot Have latest Buttons and added everything properly, getting 70% CTD. Placing folder in hierarchy above,  I get CTD when hitting a Button in QMB? strange, the new PZL and Tse-Tse don't work for me.

Already better than in reality ! ;)

TseTse-Mossies nocked out the Flak of the submarines, they damaged, sometimes badly, the coning towers of the submarines. But there is no combat report of an U-boot sunk of an Tse-Tse Mossie alone !

And to boogabooga: Can you give Hades a PM heads-up about that ini adjustment. Since this plane will undoubtedly be in the next UP, he would be interested in adjusting those stone U-boats perhaps. He has probably already planned for this, but lets be sure.

It's a bit more complicated involving both ships.ini and technics.ini, and I think it needs more testing before Hades gets involved. And honestly, I'm thinking about exploring this as a mod that I could do myself.

The problem is, this is an ini file only mod. I can't just release ini files and say "here you go" for obvious reasons. So it would be more of a DIY mod.

you should be diving in at about 45 degrees, using AP ammo, you should aim at a single spot everytime, i.e just above the waterline, centre hull, should be able to knock out 2 cargo ships before your ammo runs dry.

As with the Ju-87G, big gun Yaks, and Hurricane MkIV, I suck at using this bird for anything constructive. The only ships I've sank are the ones I crashed into after failing to pull up from my dive in time. If anyone could please post a video of actually sinking something, it would be useful. :)

Sorry no video, only   a picture:
It`s a a lot easyer to kill a ship with the Mosquito than with the 75mm canon of the B-52H (shoots really slow)

Well the de havilland book i own, plus war time production footage on the mossie, and technical drawing on the Tse Tse all state it didnt carry rockets, think about it, the weight would just be too intense, also if it did carry rockets surly then it would of been the definitive version instead of it being replaced by the rocket carrying version.

I'm not saying that I know for a fact, after all I just did a quick check on the internet but I find the weight argument not that convincing!

Think about it: We can take 2 500lbs bombs = 1000lbs of bombs with the TseTse...

So why should 8 60lbs rockets (= 660lbs [60 lbs warhead + 22lbs for the rocket] + a few lbs for the racks) create an issue?
Adapting rockets was more often a problem of aerodynamics or vibrations or both (flutter) rather than a problem of weight and carefull tests were required before adapting them to a particular airframe. As the addition of the Molin gun likely changed the modal (vibration) response of the aircraft, the fact that rockets were adapted to early Mosquito does not imply that things would automatically be ok for the "Tse-Tse".
Another point, which is not directly a limitation is that british units either specialized in rocket attacks or bomb attacks toward the end of the war.

Very interesting point! Of course it is a matter of training pilots for the different weapons. And an attack profile of a cannon attack would not be applicable to a rocket attack and vice verca.
