or a problem with your graphics settings ingame...you seem to be running on a pretty low setting, judging from that screenshot.

I had the same thing. I found this fix somewhere (not sure where):
Quote
the square trees is a prob with /files/maps/_tex/trees/alteredbush9a ... just put a - in front of the alteredbush9a  name and they are ok now,
This fixed it.

Throst, you are replying to a post from almost two years ago, my friend.
a lot has changed since then, so you'd need to please tell us which game version you are using, and what problem you have.
we can help, but you need to give us some info to be able to give the right advice.

Hi Folks & SAS~Malone,

I realize this topic is quite old but since I may have a very similar issue I thought I would start here in case others have some information. I am having the blocky trees exactly like this thread is indicating and also like the ones Dakpilot refereed to in this thread:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=23495.0

I was trying to use the idea of putting a "-" in front of the alteredbush9a file in this path Files\maps\_Tex\Trees folder but I do not have that path folder in my install. My details are:

IL2 1946 v 4.10.1 with DBW 1.71 installed. No other mods are installed. My system specs:

OS - Windows 7 SP1 - 64bit
CPU - Intel Quad Core 5 - 3.20mhz
RAM - 8GB DDR2
Video - Nvidia GT 640 GC - 1 GB DDR3
Sound - Onboard
Monitor - Planar 19 inch 4:3 ratio - 8MS response time - running at 1280 x 960 resolution
All settings in IL2 game set to perfect.
Conf details - Forest = 3, Landgeom = 2
latest drive installed - AA set to 4x

My specific question is: Do I need to create the folder/file path above or is there some other possible fix for this. I see the issue on a few maps when paying campaigns and also when using QMB mission pro that came with the DBW 1.71 install. The maps I have seen it in are Europe_Channel_Spring and some other Eastern theater maps.

Thanks in advance for any information - jg1234
