This is an AWESOME little tool, and I am pretty sure it is also by Kumpel.

Stick it anywhere on your PC and run it. I simply make a copy of it and put it right in the folder where I work.
How it operates is very simple and understandable.
And to open TGB files, rename them tga and open.

I found this with Google, hidden on some file server somewhere. But I am reasonably sure it is kumpel.

I use Ifranview for most of my .tga needs but it has some serious issues with the tgb files, so this is most excellent, thanks man.

I also use Irfanview (quick view) and Gimp (for the manipulation) and to open the tgb just change the extension to tga and then Irfan will recognize them and open without any problem.

I have one additional question: there are a good deal of tga that when you try to open you receive an error message saying that the header is wrong or missing and file wont open however then in game everything shows up. Does somebody have an explanation?  ??? ???

Quick question guys:

I keep reading change tgb into tga, how do you do that.  I have downloaded all sorts of little progs to do that but NOTHING seems able to open or change the original in game tgb files.

PS:  This is a cracking little tool, if only I could open the high res tgb files.

you change the letter "b" in ".tgb", to an "a"

This is the only tool I have found that will open tga files that are really imf files as some textures appear to be.
