New Bitish Tank Addon Pak
« on: December 24, 2010, 09:57:24 AM »

Hey Guys finally I have some British tanks in their new own slots. Big thanks and credit goes to asheshouse for his work on the class files.
Just download, unzip, BACKUP your previous folder so you can back track problems, drop these into your mods folder and most important, read the intallation note to activate the class files properly. Hence the proper entries pasted accordinly. I know some new folks may get confused a bit, but it really pretty simple. Just ask here and some of these great folks will help out.  The Bishop tank has a scout comander that has sight movement as I linked to a turret, might as well because main one is welded to body anyway, the only thing as you kill the bishop, the soldier is still present in the dead mesh,Im working on it (new dead mesh) as well as previous german tank with same situation. The Italian tank is made from other tank parts and parts made from scratch, so you tank gurus lol be nice, also my skinning sucks, I know there are some awesome skinners out there. Anyway I can spend more time fixing and testing these but they would take forever getting them out. Thanks again ashes.

I really hope you enjoy them and have fun,

A BIG MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO ALL!! CHEERS wing.

Happy New Year, Wingflyr,

Thank you for this very interesting tank pack. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but so far, I did not manage to get this to work in my 4.09m/UP2.01 install. Were some of these vehicles already included in UP2.01? It seems that some of the chief.ini-, technics.ini- and technics.ru entries are already in these files in their stock UP.201 versions. There were already entries for the Crusader and the Fiat M-15, for example.
Your enhancement pack (camo-netting for the Tiger-I, etc.) works just fine. It's just the new British tanks that don't seem to work in my install. In my second install (4.10 with SAS mod activator 2.5), the Churchill, Bishop, etc. all work.
I believe, I followed your installation instructions for the 4.09 version. Nonetheless, with this pack installed, I get a crash to desktop at 70%. I even tried to install just the Bishop, placing the "Bishop" folder under "3do/Tanks" in your pack in the "Mods" folder and making the relevant chief- and technics entries. Still the same result, CTD at 70%. There must be something obvious that I am overlooking, I just can't figure out what it might be.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

FW

Hi Friedrich
Seem to have the same problem with CTD at 70% on 4.09/UP2.01
But thanks for the heads-up on working by installing on 4.10 - will give that a try  ;)
On 4.09, tried with just the entries (chief.ini etc) in & mod folder out & visa versa, just to check.
Crashes with the mod folder in, but not when just the entries are in. Thought it may be caused by the entries (possibly duplication) consitent with a 70% CTD, but seems not? Also only added the new tanks not ones already there.
Wingflyer - thanks for this wonderful pack, really been looking forward to it to go with the previous Tiger I camo & Tiger II. Always look forward to your amazing mods....I will get it to work, eventually!  Just got to keep tinkering ;)
