I swapped the Browning Quads for another gun type and they all seem to work ok, but there must be an error in the compiling of the new gun class. Not sure what the error is at the moment.

Don't worry about this minor problem. It can be fixed later.
All gun alignments seem to be ok. -- but it could do with a more thorough check.

I don't know what means "GunShellStartHook  ShellStartYY" in ships.ini.
YY's parameter what is it?

In example, Shokaku CV AAAs and guns from 1 to 21 are increasing YY "GunShellStartHook  ShellStart1" to "GunShellStartHook  ShellStart21".
Targeting System from 22 to 30 are all "GunShellStartHook  ShellStart22".
I don't know why here is "22".

It seems to cause Ryujo guns not work?


And now I try Zuikaku'44 adding AA guns , re-numbering HeadXX and GunYY +10 to insert new guns...
Then Zuikaku'44 don't shoot enemy...

The Shellstart YY parameter also appears in Gun**.msh
If you extract the mesh for one of the Guns you will see it in the Hooks section at the top.
This defines the position and direction of the gun flash.

If you change the number of shellstart in ship.ini then it must also be changed in gun*.msh otherwise the gun will not work.

Generally you will keep the number of the Head, Gun and Shellstart the same. The Head numbers do not need to be sequential so what you have is ok. Only the Part numbers in ship.ini must be sequential.

Do not change the rotation matrix for the shellstart in gun*.msh, or gun* in hier.him. These are fixed relative to the head. Only the Head position and rotation needs to be changed. Some of the Heads need the z coordinate reduced a small amount to rest on the deck.

Your model seems to have no problems with the numbering.
In my test they all seem to be working and firing in the correct direction.

To tidy up the thread could you change the message icon on the first post to "Mods for 4.09_4.10_both" so that it appears like the icon in this post. Also the old Ryujo v4.09 thread could be removed I think.

I will look at Guns msh (converted to txt).
and match the numbers msh with ships.ini.

I see 13mm don't work and left side's 25mm false direction.

This topic's Ryujo MOD is able to run on both 4.09_4.10.
But the other topic's MOD uses Ultr@Pack's "radar" class in class file.
This Topic's don't define "radar" class in class file.
When you play Ryujo MOD on Ultr@Pack, it seems to better with "radar" class...

Now I changed ship class name to CV"L".
All ini files and class files are changed.

Some bugs in Hier.him is corrected.

And I tested 13mm guns running OK.
I had tested AAA and guns set enemy ship around Ryujo.
But 13mm(12.7mm) doesn't shoot ship. only Aircraft.
When I fly enemy aircrafts over Ryujo, 13mm guns shoot up them.
13mm(12.7mm) reaches very short!! A little time to shoot.
Evenif 127mm AAA and 25mm guns continue shooting, 13mm(12.7mm) stop because of out of range.

So, now I set 13mm 3units, I will add +3units (total 6units).

Guns problem is solving now.
I will try next problem... Collision Boxes.
Is this able to edit nothing to use 3D modeler?
In example editing text msh by text editor.

But this version has some problems on Flight Deck.

A small hole exists at border with DeckC and DeckT.
Tires are trapped and bumpy.

A big home exist at color border with Wooden and Steal Gray on DeckN center.
Like a pitfall, an airplane falls down and hanged by Deck.

I only edited collisions Hull1,2,3.
DeckN,C,T are originally.

Hi mate!

I tested it with small planes (Tiger Moth) and all have worked fine.

I noticed that the vertical wall of the hull appear over the deck of some centimeter but no bump of falls noticed....

A little glitch of the plane shadow as an invisible deck is continiung for some meters in front of the deck....
