Hi mate!

I could make a whole mod just out of radars - FuG, Serrate, Lichtenstein, ASW radars

In the meaning that you can set different spotting ability to simulate the real Radar performance?

For the next one I'm going to modify the Observer object to call out enemy ships as well. That way you could have coast watchers, like on Guadalcanal. I should also make them distinguish between bombers and fighters.

This 'll be a great improuvement in the sight of a semi-humanization of the spotter!

Excellent mod, definitely a must for any pilot of any job. Ground control is the heart of all Reich defense system, both at day and by night. And in any CAS mission, ground attack aircrafts always attacked "on-demand" from ground. I think it's quite crazy but we need to make the ground troops say "thank you" each time you destroy a tank in their sector :))

BTW, could you guys make it possible to order rear gunners or wingman to warn you each time AI coming at you from the rear? If AI wingman cannot fullfill their job (making them do that might be quite hard), at least they should make themselves useful.

i second this, i think it would be awesome if we could link the rear gunners to at least advise of incoming bandits via a wav sample, it would be awesome for immersion if there was some sounds of life coming from other crew positions.
maybe a sound sample (which i'm sure there're volunteers to do) could be linked to when the turret ai first reacts to enemy planes, and you could have a guy shouting 'bandits! six o'clock high!' or something like that.....great idea, RGA.  8)

well, it's probably no surprise to anyone that the sniper gunner's mod would get my mod of the year award, but this would come a close second, indeed!  ;D :D
it'd be easier if we had a 'modder of the year award', then CY6 would be the winner, either way.  ;D
....then again, the year is young, so the title will still be up for grabs for awhile.  8)

Maybe when I'm finished with it  8)

TD was supposed to be working on GCI for 4.10, but I think it got bumped to 4.11. That's really what inspired this - I'm just impatient ;)

I have a working airborne radar observer now, though it might need fine tuning. Still trying to figure out how to make it directional, though...

I like the idea about calling out bandits, should be perfectly do-able.

With this mod is slowly approaching the equivalent of the navigation aid of machin... the trick... the 4.10.

Ok, new version is up. This one has a coast watcher object and a new 'FuG' airborne radar operator. Check out the readme for details.

You should now be able to do night interceptions without turning on the map.
