I used the template that came with the download from The

development team at AviaSkins to make this skin for the New model

of the Mig-3.I thank them for their hard work and the new model.The

skin depicts a early Mig-3 flown in December 1941 with No 34 IAP

based at Vnukovo the inscription meant "For the Motherland". https://www.mediafire.com/?00l9w7m0mrpafxz

great! but don't the Russians refer to it as the Motherland, as opposed to the German 'Fatherland'?

seems a bit unusual for them to refer to the Fatherland....unless, of course, the plane was destined to go and kick some ass in the Fatherland....

Just following the information I got from my reference source- Fighting Aircraft of World War II-You know what they say don't believe what you read.Maybe one of our Russian speaking brothers can help us out on this one.Never mind Googled it and For the Motherland it is.So much for the correctness of reference books.

Directly translated "??????" or Rodina means "Motherland" - or "Mother Russia"

??????-????, (Rodina-mat), translated as Mother Homeland, a poetic appellation to Motherland,

Perhaps Rodina is bettter understand as Land of Birth ?
Otchizna = Fatherland.
