Fw190D-9 Early v2
« on: October 20, 2009, 10:06:25 PM »

Fw190D-9 Early

A while ago I discovered a FM in our buttons for a D-9 Early. The fist stretch-tailed Wulfs that were boost-less slow flatcanopy ducklings. Then a week or so ago I had to troubleshoot someone's flat canopy mod.

So I thought I have to do this mod, take the Flatcanopy mod by SturmBock, combine with a new Slot and Cockpit slot by me, ad Sani's opening canopy, adapted to flatcan by me, combine it with barout, fix all the probs, put POV and reticle, hook it up with the new FM and a killer skin by the Fly....it may be fun!!

Then i discovered the FM is actualy by our Friend Josse! Cool! He also helped me expand the loadouts, and Sani helped me a LOT with the canopy, he fixed the canopy in-flight jettison bug among other things (and may do an advanced FM version of this later!)

v2 fixed the ground bounce bug, thanx for the fix to Josse!

S!

Great plane and skin. Just noticed a bug though. Opened QMB, took this Dora against a Pony, Slovakia Summer map. Alt 3km and fight was on. Dove after that Pony and lost my wing to over-G I guess, speed 850km/h and crashed to ground. Instead of exploding and pilot dying, the plane jumped back up to air like a superball and I bailed out unscatched. The plane then continued bouncing without losing speed at all across the map. Speeds varied from 300km/h to nearly 2000km/h! :o Tried to save a track of it, but said Track not saved ??? This can be repeated on any map, plane crashes but pilot does not die. The fuselage continues flying and bouncing around.

This is caused by missing cockpit mat and tga files (damage)...

S!

So they are missing from this plane? As other planes work fine.

How do I apply other skins to this thing? I made a folder in "skins" for it, but nothing shows up but your [very nice] default skin. What do I do?

AHA! That's the name to use- I'd called it "Fw-190D-9early_1944". Calling it "Fw190D-9early"  did the trick. Now I can use appropriate skins from my collection! Thanks!
