Hi Walter,

I'm sure Fabian Fred based Lower and Upper Burma on his Thailand textures before Check Texan took over Lower Burma.

If you have Fred's Thailand map which is still very very awesome  ;D and all the right textures in the right places

it should load ok me thinks.

Correct me if I am wrong Fred.

Yes it's working!

At first I installed it in my test installation due more quick loading time since it haven't any textures folder but now I installed it in my full mod installation with all the other maps and got it working!

The map look very good....only little disappoint is that it's a pity that have only one airport....but I'm sure that someone 'll correct it because is too good!!! :)

Thanks!

The all-in-one Burma map which was split into Upper and Lower was right on the map size limits. I could fly over it without any thing added to the actors.static. Maybe new knowledge and techniques may make it useable in the future. It has been a few years now.
I never uploaded it on-line for people to download but still have it somewhere if anyone needs it.

Full map = BU
BU BU/load.ini

http://www.4shared.com/file/D_W39WSg/BU_online.html
...is that the "Burma Upper" map you guys are talking about?
So I guess it's still in its starter-map stage?

I think Farang once asked if I'd like to work on it.  I declined the offer.  That was a long time ago!
Good to see there is still interest in this region.

CzechTexan,

Yes sir, judging from this thread, it seems I am not the only one with enduring interest in the China-Burma-India Theater. Recently, I have been reading Daniel Ford's book, Flying Tigers, Claire Chennault and his American Volunteers, 1941-1942. For me, it would be great to see the Upper Burma Map completed.

Cheers,

The game crashes when I try to load the "BU" map.
