How did you manage that 30000 shot?

Just interested as around 20000 to 30000 will give you a very different look at textures compared to near or just above ground.

Keep up the good work   ;) :D

This one is high on my list.

In the conf.ini you can adjust how far you can zoom out by modifying the following line:

[HookView Config]
MaxLen=xxxxxx.x

Update 9/9/11:

Texturing done on all minor island groups, atolls left for texturing include Kwajalein, Wotje, Majuro, Maloelap, Mili, and Jaluit. Hopefully these will be done in the next week. I am starting Kwajalein as I post this.

Just wanted to let you know this project is not dead; I have resumed work after a few detours. I have been redoing the new airfield plates because i forgot that all runways need to be facing at 5 degree intervals in order for planes to properly line up on them in il-2.

Marshall islands are important Navy base in WWII for IJN.
I'm happy to meet your work and hope you keep-up it.


BTW...
Now, I make "Variable Temperature MOD" here

This MOD needs map side's load.ini new lines to decide Temperature moving.
About Marshalls... these lines seem to good, I think.

MONTH=7
DECLIN = 8
PRESSURE    = 745
TEMPERATURE =  28
CLIMATE = Subtropics
"Variable Temperature MOD" uses MONTH, DECLIN, TEMPERATURE and CLIMATE lines.
MONTH, DECLIN, TEMPERATURE are Stock1946's parameters. But my MOD uses these lines more strictly.
New line is only CLIMATE.
For players without "Variable Temperature MOD", CLIMATE line is used as an optional line and nothing bad.

Please test my MOD with your new map!!

Just letting you know this map still isn't dead...it's just been on a break for 4 or 5 months. I hope to try to get this done by whenever asheshouse releases his Yorktown. That is my primary motivator at this point.

Custom textures AND airfield plates (kind of redundant, I know) for every major populated island, thanks to KevinP:
