I don't know anything about how to get a brand new ship in game. I am willing to learn, but I need to finish my giant Marshall Islands map first. If anybody wants this model, I have it in .3ds format. I also have the ability to convert from .skp (the Google Sketchup format) to .3ds. Google sketchup also has the following models available with varying degrees of quality. If you want any of them, I have them in .3ds format ready to go.

USS Arizona BB-39 (Good quality)
USS Oklahoma BB-37 (Good quality)
USS Maryland BB-46 (Good quality)
USS New Jersey BB-62 (Medium quality, good above the waterline)
IJN I-400 SS (Good quality)
IJN Fuso Class BB (Medium quality, good above the waterline)
IJN Yamato BB (Good Quality)
IJN Musahi BB (Excellent quality)
IJN Kongo BB (Medium quality, good above the waterline)
IJN Mogami CA (Medium quality, good above the waterline)
IJN Tone Class CA (OK Quality)
HMS Hood (Medium quality, good above the waterline)

Another view of the Hornet:

A little off topic, but here is the IJN Musashi:

Oh yes, she defnitely IS hot. thed best looking carriers to sail the seas of thse days, imo....
maybe less awesomness than the essexes, but something for the eye and something extremely usefull.
Hull looks basic, but the soopstructure looks good.

How accurate?

Are the American battleships before or after modernization?

Before modernization for all of the old US battleships.

That would be great if he is willing to do that. I know there are a few more ship masters here too so once they are done with current projects they might want to take a look as well.

More off topic distractions, but I just had to post this. Submarine-launched floatplanes anyone?

If someone does wish to make the Yorktown Class carrier, I did find a very good blueprint set (the original plans), located here.

Greetings all, I am writing a book on carrier tactics in the Pacific theatre and stumbled upon this website during my research. The Yorktown blueprints were quite useful (I had been searching for Enterprise blueprints with no luck), thank you. However, I am concerned about copyright permissions. You wouldn't happen to know the source for these perchance? I also tried the link that Ashe provided however the catalogue was fairly thin on details. You may contact me at audacitymedia@yahoo.com

Thanks
