Did you encountered a nasty surprise?

Umm...The weather was f#cking bad, that was very nasty   :-X
Otherwise...I saw a small point from far away (played on realistic, so couldn't go look at it, and didn't want to cz I had no ammo for dogfighting).
What was that ? Fighter ?

EDIT : Hehe, better don't tell me, gonna replay the campaign and go to encounter that plane ^^ And so the other guys don't know it :D

You did it as the briefing says: do not enter into the german airspace.  ;)

Highly recommended! From the first mission, trying to get a positive ID on those two specks emerging from the murk; through the recce mission (yup, I swore out loud, y'all know why ;D ); to the final mission which I found very tense! Due to nav beacons not working for me (nor the in-cockpit radar, but CY6's epic ground controllers got me to within visual range...and then my wingman fired first anyway, lol) and my attention being on looking round and following the interception information, I had a pretty tough time finding the way home!

A wonderfully immersive campaign Pull, even without some of the most immersive features working due to issues with my install - a very notable achievement. That this is your first campaign beggars belief :) Absolutely loved it from start to finish, and might well have another crack at it when I get back on Friday. Roll on Cuba, can't wait!

Thanks, and congrats  8)

Screwy

ps. Feel free to keep working with Migs, the Sabre pit gives me a slideshow hehe  ;)

Thank you  :D

I am working on Cuba, but my job and university load me hard so you may need to wait for a few days.

I have final sat down and started playing this campaign. Well done! I haven't enjoyed Il-2 this much in a while :) Very well thought out, straight forward yet entertaining missions. In particular, great to see full usage of what UP3/DBW have to offer.

So far two fav missions have involved getting pounced by MiG-15s. First one was during a ground attack where they scrambled. In the end, we dragged them to the airfield and managed to damage one using my left over rockets, wingman got the other. Next mission got jumped by 3 of them. Using MiG-17's afterburner, was able to outclimb them and drag the fight to above 12,000m. This is where it got tense and became a game of cat and mouse. The slightest wrong move and you either missed out or were dead (from an uncontrollable spin or your former target).

It is campaigns like this why I wanted to work on the 1956 project. So again, thank you :)

Hi Anto,
How did You get this campaign working for DBW?
I've put folder "1956" into "RU" campaign , but --> no result at all!?
Also - added skins and co.
Campaign is not visible at all...

Dear All,
Everything works fine, BUT....
I'm not able to fly mission when You have to shot down Polish LOT Airliner with R-55.

1. MIG - 17 appears on the runway with no gear:

2. The same time - my wingman (airborne already!) reports problems (bailing out!) and his plane is falling directly on my head (and both exploding):

Mission bug?

Any other ideas?
Thank You.

Have no clue what is going on with my version of campaign...

It hurts me a lot, because it is really awesome stuff.
Waitin' impatiently for Yours Cuba version.
All the best.
