I have to agree. But don’t worry, the new improved Battle Sights v4 mod should be out soon and that ugly smoke has been completely redone. I'm working on the last of the effects so it shouldn’t be to long before I’m all finished with it. There are a lot of new goodies in it, too much to speak on now but here’s a sneak peak. Here are some pics of a B-17 bomber strike with P-51 escort planes. In the first shot notice the high altitude con trails. They have been totally redone. The game still has its limits but I fixed it so that you can now go out on high altitude bomber strikes with about 20 or so B-17’s and about 16 or so fighter escorts without losing any of the con trails. This was hard to do considering that each B-17 has 6 con trails per plane, 4 on the tail and 2 on the wingtips. In the second shot I had to zoom out a bit to get all of the planes in the shot, but notice that every plane has a contrail. There are 20 B-17’s and 16 P-51’s in the pic, so depending on how fast each plane is moving that could be up to 168 con trails in the second pic at the same time, and when the Me 109’s entered into the fight, the con trails were still consistent on both sides.

Looks good, more opaque than would be for my liking, but nice shape & spread of trails there.

I could make it look even better than in the pics, but at the cost of some of the con trails disappearing. So this is the best I could get it and still keep the con trails consistent.
