I'm sure it is some stupid setting on my part..., but yes.. I did read the sound setup several time....I guess
I'll just have to go through it again...I know that it is some do=umb mistake on my part...

I would like to see if I can reproduce the problem on my system. I'll switch my onboard sound on and see if I have the same issue. Just for kicks, have you tried switchin on "hardware extensions" in your IL-2 audio settings? By the way, what OS are you using?

Jiver...Have another beer... I don't know exactly what I did, but It works beautifully

There is a thing in the control panel where you bring the beams to the center and they were split to the side.
I set them so the signal was to the front & now the sounds are just wonderful
That prop sound is sooo realistic.  I love it.

my old ears are 71 now & so I need things turned up most likely, to about double what you would use for the gun sounds, but it is close enough.

  S!

Sounds like the volume level for your front speakers was set too low. Crank the output volume to max on all the speaker volume sliders, it will not hurt anything. You will also want to set "object volume" and "master volume" to max levels in your IL-2 audio settings. Then use the manual volume adjustment on your desktop speakers to find a comfortable sound level. If you have powerful speakers, you should really be able to hear the game when setup this way! In any event, it sounds like you are fairly happy with the sound now. Please go forth and blow some shit up!  ;D

I just reread your post PapaG. For some reason I keep thinking you have desktop speakers (even though you mentioned stereo heaphones). I think I'm becoming retarded...LOL! In any event, the same concept applies to headphones as to speakers (they plug into the same output jack on your sound device) and so are configured the same way in terms of adjusting volume levels. The only difference is that headphones usually don't have a manual volume control as almost all speakers do. Make sure and fly the Bf-109 series and check out the external fly-by sounds! Then make sure and drop Jafa a note thanking him for a true aural work of art!

About ready to switch over to this from your original.  Without this sound mod it is very likely I would not be flying at all.  I just cant live without it now  ;D  Thanks a million!

Dear Jiver,
What kind of instalation should I choose - usually I install new mods just putting them into "MODS" folder.
Thank You.

Got two versions of IL 1946:

1. v 4.09m+SAS ModAct (but never used jsgme folder!)
2. UP 3.0 - that's clear of course!

I would go with option 2 - UP 3.0. I'm pretty sure JTSM for SAS ModActivator requires v4.10 or above.

Hi there - that's for sure, but I would like also install those awesome sounds on my modded v 4.09.
What kind of installation will be the best in that case?
Is it possible just to place everything in folder "Mods"?
Will it work at all?
