But I noticed something...
In external view cockpits of the I-16type18-BS and I-16type24 (SPB) are blue instead of that greyish colour the other pits have.

The external view of all I-16 cockpits in game is made entirely on skins... Take the desired I-16 skin and find the blue areas representing cockpit details. Change it to proper color (A-14)... Good luck.

How could I be so dumb to have overlooked that external cockpit view is related to the skins.bmp.   
And that it got nothing to do with your cockpit repaint.

Already done that mate. 

Hm-m... O.K... I have an idea:
1. Disable my mod (put minus before the name of my "0_I-16_Polikarpov_Pack_Ultimate".
2. Download and install this into your #SAS folder:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,1932.0.html
3. Now just go into #SAS/cabina I-16/3do/cockpit/I-16 and remove all the files there. Put there all my files from my 0_I-16_Polikarpov_Pack_Ultimate/3do/Cockpit/I-16 you downloaded earlier...
That should help.
