Hi,

I've installed DBW v1.4. I am new to it so I need some clarification on the part which says "add the lines required for the new planes" (see extract of install instructions below). I've done a search to find all the "air.ini", "plane_ru.properties" and "weapons_ru.properties" files. They appear to be in the "#DBW", "#SAS" and "#UP#" folders. So my question is, do I need to add the new lines to these files in all 3 folders (#DBW, #SAS and #UP#)? Or should I just do them in #DBW?

Cheers

I am not an expert on these matters, however you can safely go ahead and place them in the #DBW folder as per instructions.
That is what I did and the two new aircraft are working fine.I would not see why you would want to place an update for DBW into #UP3 but perhaps it is possible.Maybe someone will explain!

#UP# and #SAS are for UltraPack 3 and SAS Modact. #DBW is for Dark Blue World.
If you are new, look around the site and read.

The air.ini file tells the game what aircraft to load and where to find them.
The plane_ru.properties file tells the game what to call the aircraft in-game.
the weapons_ru.properties tells the game what to call the loadouts in-game.

Hi

you have two other options

in the last post in the updates thread, https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,16539.msg190038.html#msg190038
I put a version of all those files already completed that you can just overwrite your #DBW folder with.

Or, you can wait a day for build 1.5, where they are also included.

I just forgot to include the completed files also in the 1.4 update.
