PA_Willy, the best thing is to go through the selection of clouds until you find some that don't do that. i had that problem with some cloud combinations, as well.
also, fiddling with your graphics settings can help quite a bit, but i can't give you a 'perfect' setting option, it's very much dependant on your rigs settings, etc... :)

Do a google search for it. There were copyright issues, so the d/l link couldn't be included IIRC ;)
