Hi Elephant
Do you think its a good idea to install this MOD
It looks wonderful but with a lot of bugs
The link to mediafire says its a 1.7 version, but after DL the folder is called "Bender's Ultimate Environment 1.0"
Is it safe to run the install.exe file
I hate to install things that i cant control
I'm thinking to install it a temp folder and take a look on whats inside

Ill drop the folder "Bender's Ultimate Environment 1.0" into my MOD folder, but there is a .exe file that I have to run and choose the clouds that i want, then hit the " PUT CLOUDS" button , and that probably means put a lot of stuff in my games folder without any control.
That's why I`m asking if is it safe to do so.

Gerson, Crazyflack is right. This mod can be uninstalled like any other mod, simply by deleting its folder, it doesn't change anything in your game folder. It's a very interesting mod but you've got to try a lot of options to obtain a nice result without graphic issue. The exe file used to tune it is quite unusal but it works fine and you can test it without worry, it's safe.

 No it's version 1...I just compressed it with 7z for max compression :)
crazyflak is 100% right.
The first exe installes the mod into you MODS folder
and the other exe just makes changes into the Bender's Ultimate Environment 1.0 folder.
Yes I admit, it's rather buggy but the visual result is awesome... 8)
Sometimes you're gonna experience freezes that can be overriden though, by clicking the Esc key constantly.

After 1 year I got rid of the Square Clouds. 256/Big. This combination seems to be stable. Square free, less strutters.
I tried also different conf.ini settings, just realizing, it had no effect at all.
I did a small test:
If you disable in TexFlags.SecondaryColorExt=1 to 0 you can see the squares not being transparent or 3D, while the clouds are. This removes the 2D Sky-Blue/Highclouds and turns it into Black. Don't do this, unless you really need to, it sets all your GFX settings back to default, so keep in mind.
Highclouds for me have no effect on these Squares.
They seem to be be frequent in Cumulus Original and RA size, somehow they disappear when selecting big. Even if they seem to be non existent, they can pop-up after re-starting game in those sizes.

A promising visual effect, I really hope Bender gets rid of the Squares, get this a stable basis, just imagine it working in all combis like we have now and with our future AI not seeing through clouds option. You could just hide in a cloud or see them as an advantage, no more Chuck Norris AI. ATM. it's just a visual effect, but later it can be the creme on the ice towards immersion and beating AI.
