If somebody does build this, can we have 2 mark-17 thermonuclear bombs to go with it?

The plane was in service for 20 years. Never flew a combat mission. I guess I just never really liked this one.
I'll pass.

No, the game can handle up to 8 engines and has been able so for quite a while ;)

trouble would be, if somebody ask for version that had not only six piston, but also four other jet engines (together 10 engines)...

personaly, i would like prototype (without the bulbous cockpit) or the first version of this plane

Actually there is solution to this...

Each 6 of pistol would have their own engine ID while both of dual engine would act as single engine, which will use up all 8 of engine slot in IL-2 1946.  I would love to see different variants of B-36s with and without pair of dual jet engines.

Chaoic out...

My Dad was a tail gunner on the old B-36 back in '56-'57 . He always says " 10 miles of wire with enough aluminum to make 10,000 trash cans or " it flies like pulling 10,000 trash cans with 10 miles of wire " ;D

You can always assign additional hotkeys for more engines. The issue is, this aircraft is soo bloody big that if someone started working on it now, we probably wouldn't see it in game for another 5 years ;)

A private group is currently working on a B-52 that we should see with-in 6months or a year. There plan after that is a race P-51 (I think), and if a B-36 isn't done by then they will do it too.

IL-2 can soundly handle 10 engines. Scroll down the controls menu and you'll see that there are more than enough 'Select Engine #' options as well as 'Select/Unselect Engine #' options for those 10. The B-36 is most definitely do-able. The flip side of the coin, of course, being does anyone actually want to spend the time making a bomber that carried a crew of 13.

That's good news :) And since we have an actual B-52 pilot here, we should be able to get it's FM and details damn near perfect.

All the more reason to start on it now :)

Whether IL-2 can hold 6 engines and 6 Contra-rotating propellers ?
For another big bomber
