Very nice! Just put the wing at the top of the fuselage and it will really look like a B-52!

Thank you!

Even this first shape/model coud be used for bomber incerception missions with missilies (a little details are seen from several km distances).

By the way, if you are interested in heavy bombers here is a large manual on the late B-36H

(I just discovered the link in internet so please consider it "as is").

Mixing and matching plane parts? I thought that was Namco's job for the Ace Combat series  ;)

Thanks for the link Far77, nice find.
I OCRed and optimized it and took it for a heads up post in the Peacemaker's request thread here.

Best regards - Mike

Designing planes during class?  Sounds exactly like the sort of thing I do.  I envy your ability to take them from paper into Il-2, though.

Well since I last posted WIP pics i decided that the engine mounts (those purple things that look a lot like vacuum cleaners) are stupid and i removed them. Also I finally mounted the engines and started work on the landing gear.

Pics:

btw by the looks of the pics i redesigned the wings to. now they look a lot more like the B-52

Not bad at all! But I think that the elevator is too slim and long. And for the fin, F-86 one must be better since it looks more like a B-52 one.

And I would use the MiG-15 Rudder, as it looks more B-52ish than the B-17 one.
