Research Effects
« on: October 01, 2011, 10:03:22 PM »

Hi all

I'm studying the effect.
I wish for more dynamic and faster processing.

Those are synthesis of effect MOD in the past.
Those are adjusting remodeling of a cord and a texture.

An effect of a bullet hit is made.

Can I have impressions?
When there is request, it's opened.

Thank you very much. JapanCat

That's very nice Kodama, but is it possible to make the effect more intermittent and not for every round. Then I think it will look great.  :)

Hi Verhängnis
I'm not KODAMA.

Yes, I thought.
Is the effect necessary to all bullets?
I investigated. 1946 CloD, other simulators and ArmA are ArmAII other FPS.

I think the effect is necessary to all bullets.

Thanks all. JapanCat

My bad, sorry JapanCat, get confused with names sometimes.  :-X ---
Well if the effect is realistic, then I guess it's pretty nice, but if it could be toned down a bit with the size of the smoke, considering those small bullets, what you have now looks suitable for 15-20mm guns IMO.

Hi Verhängnis

No problem. KODAMA is a member of Tainan group.

A flash and smoke adjusted the size.
A judgement would be difficult by an movie.
It would be release here soon.

Thank you very much. JapanCat

This looks very nice indeed. I've often been engaged in dogfighting while having little or as good as no visual confirmation at all of hitting the enemy plane. Showing the hit effects as you did in the vid, helps with knowing how to aim more correctly.

This would be a great tweak to the game.

That's right.

When the visual effect of 7.7 and 12.7 is not, the correct shooting is very difficult.
Or power isn't low and I think it isn't hit.

Power of a gun was adjusted in UP3.
I'd like to improve more those more.

Thanks All.  JapanCat

With now UP3 guns adjustments it would be nice to have these visuals. Atm. it feels like firing lasers.
So you're on the right way.
Maybe if you're once on the visual trek, could you please consider adjusting Wr.Gr. 21 hit effects?
The Handbooks of Fw 190 Rüstsatz weapon-trials I have, give it a blast/severe damage radius of 30m!!! If you ever tried ingame
Werfers it's nothing compared to that, I can hardly differ small Flak louds from this effect, the lil pluffy cloud it produces, though I think it uses the Flak cloud effect too. I know it's not a direct aiming weapon, that you need to place these big grenades near a target, but then if it explodes 3m near an engine, I don't think there was some left after that in real-life. That a fortress flies like a swiss cheese is also clear, have book here with these lucky gals returning home,  but it doesn't say they are unvulnerable to these Grenades. Maybe you can't add Damagemodel, but at least a proper explosion effect would be nice to have.
BTW. Thanks for work on this project, wish you all the best
