Posted three more skins - still have a couple left (its original Able Cat scheme - anyone got any pics? and the 2007 version with the line of white flames)

sooooooooo, happy you guys are doing this, i'm a former rare bear crew member and am happy to help in any way i can, mexchiwa, there are a large number of vintage and current pictures of the bear out there, a good starting place would probably be http://www.warbirdaeropress.com

Thanks for the link - I'd already found that site but not until after I'd already done most of the skins.  Great pics there - but there's also a warning about a Trojan computer virus.

Hope these skins are recognizable - I've never actually seen any of these Bearcats in person so I have to work off whatever I find on the internet.  Should have some more (including a Rare Bear in its Phoenix I scheme) up in a while (I'll let y'all know when I finish).  And feel free to comment/correct anything - I know I'm missing a lot of the stencils/markings.  And most of all thanks for keeping Rare Bear in the air.

ya, there's some obscure trojan lurking on WAP's site but i've been going there since it opened without any trouble so i assume it's fairly innocuous.

most of the bearcats you've made skins for either no longer exist or are in military schemes. if you go to facebook and join any number of the air racing fan clubs like http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/170351269524/ there are photogs from way back that post pictures pretty often.

the skins all look pretty accurate, no real criticism to offer.

gerd, any chance i could get you to model the rare bear with the big three blader on it? hehehe
