Hi guys,

Not sure if this was the best place to post this but thought it was worth a try. I have searched for an answer but found next to nothing. I recently downloaded and installed the program and upon checking in the career select window, I believe all the stock/default careers marked with a * now display thier names and descriptions in Russian... 

That might be acceptable if I could read Russian, let alone understand the cyrillic alphabet! 

I run SAS 3.06 on IL2 4.10.1 outside of Program Files on Windows 7 64-bit.

I have tried to find the files it has affected with no joy, although I have an idea it might be the files like this: 'campaignsDeF.dat', although this particular one is English, and there is a separate Russian '_ru' one which I assume is not active, but appears to be so. There must be something which is easy to change.

Any ideas?

Hi

If you  are rurnning Lowengrins DCG then all of his campaigns, if you have installed his dgen files into the dgen file of il2 will be in english. However the stock dgen campaigns will all be in Russian as the ru  files in Dgen will be read first. To fix this you must transfer all of your native language files ie english into the ru files, still keep the ru files but over write the text with its english counter parts.

Installing a EnjoyR patch (fitting your install; With or without BoE, TLD, Ostfront) helps and the Russian language is gone...
Get the fitting patch at M4T...
