Hello all :)

Things were a bit quiet in public for a while but now it is the time to announce you the final roadmap of UP 3.0 Final and its future development. Thank you all for your patience so far.

The UP 3.1 (the final version of UP 3.0RC) is expected in 2-3 weeks at most.

The final version of UP 3.0 will eliminate the serious bugs, be more stable and include the new executables from Storebror.

It will include some plane updates like loadouts, etc...

It will also have updated FMs for many planes and perhps a couple of new planes added

It will remove some plane slots very similar to DBW if not identical thus consolidating the planes further.

It will be more stable in multiplayer and will have the final stable MDS.

It is possible that the effects will be also included.

Now for the future we will update it regularly by using static update packages and with the auto-updater function.

In each update the version will change accordingly, example: UP 3.1, UP 3.2, etc....

I will keep you informed if anything else pops up.

Cheers :)

So it's been a good 3 1/2 months since this announcement and nothing.  Is there any updates or is everyone sworn to secrecy?

HaDes seems to be reborn. He announces a stable Version of UP3rc4 (rc5?) "followed by an updated one soon after." - Time will tell...

please redo this post, I haven't had a drink for months and I can't make sense of it................... hold on, goin to get a beer and a shot of Tequila..... or two........

UP3 is not dead................ slow and steady, you guys moan and groan about UP3RCwhatever, when was the last time you heard anything about DBW1.8?.....

Patients is the greatest virtue you can have in the IL-2 community............... anything else is a disaster waiting to happen....  bad for your blood pressure, explore the set ups that are out there now, I'll bet most people have not touched 80% of their game, the Off-liner's only do one thing, the On-liners only do one thing, I spend way too much time in FMB and not flying, although my group meets 3 times a week for flying, there are other groups, offline campaigns flying planes I'm totally unfamiliar with and fun to learn.

I get impatient too, but it doesn't do anything to improve the situation.......................

It will come, give it time.  Try something new you haven't done or haven't done for quite sometime, you'll discover a completely new game... trust me.....

Cheers

I agree with Hoss, here. My group also used UP3 for our on line flying.. we have moved to HSFX 6.0. Aperantlly the Jetpack guys are working on a 4.11 compatibility thing... So soon HSFX will have evrything UP had but on 4.11..

If UP comes with a better setup, we will try it, if not, we got HSFX... give it time guys everything comes... its just a matter of patience...

Good to know at least modding and offline playing isn't dead. It's a joy to see aircraft like the Mig-21 and F-18 being worked on.

I'm pretty sure, whole UP-Team has also real-life stuff to handle as everyone else.

I saw the beginning of modding IL-2 in 2006... and there always was a small downtime of processes and progresses.
Absolutely normal behavior.

The UP3RC4 package was and is as stable as I ever assumed, and still makes my guys and me very happy.
We have tried HSFX 6 what is quiet good also, but we choosed to further use UP3 'couse our special needs.

Would love to see further developement on UP, all to its time.

Sorry to let everyone in agony but we will release UP patch soon, so the project is not dead at all.

We updated much code and MDS also along with effects, planes, maps, 3dfixes, and such so it will be a nice surprise :)

I'll keep you posted.

Cheers :)
