hello all!

inspired by the new book about Frank Tinker "Five Down No Glory" (a greeeeat read btw) I wanted to do a little I-15 flying and dusted off the said campaign;
only problem is, I cannot get this darned thing to load; I can select it in the campaign selection screen but when I want to enter the first mission briefing, its back CTD;
I installed the "new" ag_Andalucia map as requested (it features different entries in the all.ini thats why I also added it to stock DBW) and the mission files point to the new load.ini of the
other Andalucia map;
yet I still get these CTDs; does that campaign simply not run in DBW 1.6 or did I do something wrong?

Campaign missions look for this map:
 ag_Andalucia/load_2.ini

In DBW1.6 the map is:

ag_Andalucia/load.ini

Change original to the second (load.ini) in all missions. You don´t need to install the "new" map because the texture´s folders may be different in DBW1.6
This worked for me

I can use any of the Spanish Civil War campaigns. All of them give me some kind of problem so that they do not work.
I have no idea why.

franju: i have replaced the andalucia map thats in the DBW installation with the one suggested by the install readme; so the file structure and references should be ok;
but I will try out your suggestion to use the original andalucia map and adjust the mission files accordingly...

Yes, you´re right . That map works fine in DBW1.6. No missing textures. I can run the campaign with both maps. Check "all.ini" lines and if you can load map in FMB. The new version looks better. Regards

I installed the new improved andalucia map again and guess what, everything works fine now
it is really better to be lucky than to be good anytie

no problem
you just get the improved andalucia map as suggested in the download readme of the campaign;
then just add the map as any other addon map, adding the line to the all.ini in the appropriate directory
nevermind that you will have two ag_andalucia map entries afterwards, that does not matter
and do not change any of the mission files, the load_2.ini entry in them works perfectly

this should do the trick-if not, let me know...

I've just found the new Andaluacia map

ah thats very easy to add the map;
just unzip to a temporary folder, you should have a folder named ag_andalucia, one named _tex and a file called "add to all.ini"
just put the two folders inside the mapmods/maps folder which you should find inside the #dbw folder;
the text you find in the txt file just copy and paste into the all.ini file found inside the maps folder;
thats it

Cool! I think I can do that. I'm going to try.
The problem was the instructions do not say that it's inside the DBW folders but in the root one!!!!!
But now I got it. I'm gonna try!

I did but it didn't work.
I'll explain what I did:
1. Download and place the files in the #DBW/MapMods/Maps
2. copy and paste the line in the all.ini
3. select the DBW and start the il2

At this point the DBW mod loads and I select the Nation Spanish Nationalist and the Malaga Campaign.
Problems the briefing and map are empty and nothing can be read or seen.
Then, the campaign loads until when it's about to start the screen freezes and that's all I get.
Finally, I have to close the Il-2 in the Ctrl+alt+del mode
