Ok, guys, and specially WindWpn@ apologies

That day (the one where I turned into quite a rude ass) everybody was killing each other in the command bunker, so to speak, due to misunderstandings that kept growing until the bulb exploded.

Do continue to help IL2 players with your ready-to-use packs. Never mind what I said before BUT please do leave/insert all the original readmes inside each individual mod. Where there isn't any make sure to write detailed credits.

thanks, Maurice :D
oh, and we're gonna replace that broken bulb with a new soft-focus, energy-saving bulb that will hopefully make the command bunker seem less like a torture room and more like a hot spa, lol...:D

"a Clean functional JGME pack could be created which includes the mods (with credits).  Users could simply enable the pack and everything would fall into order and work.  Currently, I am working on this and will likely introduce the idea to Monty."

So you mean something like the original campaign-mod jsgme overlay concept expounded in my "Clash of Eagles" thread and functionally demonstrated in the extensive alpha test version I sent you? Or the same concept/principle but just the required mods prepackaged, without all the extras, but including the skin packs hopefully?

Would be quicker, simpler, and far fewer megs, but still make the campaign vastly more accessible, but maybe include at least some new matching campaign and single mission screens for the additional between-missions atmosphere (and to remind people they have it installed, as with this method only one campaign can be installed at a time).

Looking at the problems raised in Monty's thread it would be very practical for most people, me too, so go for it, I'm sure everyone would appreciate the simple click&play approach, and after all the effort obviously put in the campaign really deserves an elegant solution.

Could be one of a whole set/series of "mod/campaign expansion packs" offering far more content than the original ones ever did, each with it's own "look&feel" like chapters in the "Boy's Own Big Blue Campaign Book."

Hey Crazyflak,

thx for the apology, greatly appreciated.  I have drafted new credit documentation that I will be updating for each pack and will release with follow on updates.  Additionally, will update the original post with a Credits section to include all modders involved.  Will take a little time to review the complete set as I have everything from single skin enhancements to full map re-textures and new aircraft/ships.  Though, great to see you back onboard CF, as your Aircraft additions are a key part of what comprises the Aircraft pack.   :)

Stay tuned for the update, as well as new stuff coming out to support Monty's Desert Air War campaign.  Slink, you are correct...in order to support the campaign makers and use of new content from the likes of SAS~Epervier and others, new pack(s) will be released to allow users to take advantage of this content within their DBW installs in a simple enable/disable way within the CLEAN JGME Framework.  Bottom line is that now campaign makers can include the new stuff that is not in DBW yet, and with the packs, that content can be enabled by users very easily in DBW without the need to risk messing up their vanilla install.

Of course, down the road this effort will help move this content into core DBW as well in v1.9+!

fun times!

Sierra Hotel..................... glad to see things are on an even keel again, hope everyone takes that walk and counts to ten before pulling the trigger on fellow IL-2 users/modders.

it does no good and may burn, or Snake eye bridges that can't be mended.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Now Wind, fix those angled deck carriers USN/French...............LOL.

The first "new" CLEAN JGME pack has been posted as part of Monty's excellent new Desert Air Force campaign.  The pack is a new "Static" pack containing all the new objects created by "SAS~Epervier" as well as excellent stock armor repaints by WingFlyer, and additional work by CY6.  The new pack is designed to take advantage of campaigns which will leverage the new objects in a simple clean on/off format similar to the other CLEAN JGME packs.  Note, if you currently have the "old" #DBW_MOD_Static pack, be sure to disable before enabling the new pack.  Basically they can sit in GME together, but simply toggle between the two depending upon what arena you are flying.  If you are not flying in an arena which requires Epervier's new objects, then recommend using the old pack as it is geared more towards stock installations/enhancements and it includes WingFlyers stock armor repaints.

All in all, enjoy!  Plus full credit format included in the /documentation/ folder found inside the pack.  This format will be used for the re-release of the current packs during the next round of updates.

Excellent WindWpn!

I'm glad that you have started up again!

What about a pack for some other, and older, gems like Poltava's Killer in the Dark (only the Wellington Mk III by Ranwers might be required over an up to date DBW installation afaik)

And, basically, what about packing the best campaigns around so one can spend his time being astonished by the works of the local artists instead of being online digging the forums?  ;)

Did you know that you are going to force us to purchase new computors with much larger hard drives and SSD's with all these new bonuses you are forcing on us? The mod pacts are such a great Idea.
Thank all of you guys involved in growing the game that some of us have played for over a decade!
DCG and these mod packs with full integration in the future is just going to be great for offline capaigns in DBW.
Thank you again to everyone involved.

Jeeeeeezz, I don´t want to get any older! Imagine what this sim will be in ten more years time, by then I may be an old shaking fart trying to focus on what´s on my screen (by then some 105'' 3D??)! Isn´t this sim the only "living" 20 century sim? How long will it last?
THX to all of you modders who delight my days and nights!
