Personally I would never mess with the pack.  Try instead copying the folder structure of the pack to make your own pack.  Drop in your mod, in the right place in the pack, then activate it in JSGME.

I did this with the FW190 pack, now have all of Claymore's beautifull FW190s plus 78FG_WindWpn's packs, you just have to keep them in the right order within JSGME.

KEEP YOUR CORE CLEAN! - Sounds like a military type instruction - I LOVE THE CORE!

WindWpn, a combination question/request for you.

First, your statements about these add-on packs "evolving" as DBW evolves makes me very happy, surely others are as well!

So, the question to you is, could you potentially include Japancat's Zeros in with the next build of the aircraft pack?  The reason I'm asking is due to the current "skin" bug in conjunction with the FBDSM pack, where all the zeros are visually buggered.  In short, could you give us a temporary fix, until such time that the next version of DBW is out that will hopefully address this?  Replacing the FBDSM 06 sfs archive with one of the "null" ones works, but having Japancat's zeros would be much nicer and a better result.

Thanks!

Sorry to butt in, I know its Wind's question, but I have to point out:  Regarding DBW, Japancat's Zeros ARE already included.  Its the FBDSM that is behind on these, its not a bug at all.  A new option for FBDSM covering Japancats Zeros has been mentioned just not out yet, as far as I know.

"Replacing the FBDSM 06 sfs archive with one of the "null" ones works" because it is the same as not doing anything!

I'm with Dak, I appreciate the effort put into these packs. I'm perfectly capable of arranging and installing Mods, but some need the help because some of the mods are so spread out over a thread it's hard sometimes to know what's needed and what is not. That Wind has taken the time yo gather it all and MAKE IT WORK is commendable and greatly appreciated by the entire community.
True BeoWolf, and if people want anything better than plain vanilla campaigns, it is vital to be able to establish a common baseline regardless of the level of expertise.  Wind's work literally made my last two campaigns possible for everyone to play and the next two are even more ambitious.  I don't release anything without talking to him first.

jesus thats a bit of a "slap in the face"

"I dont like a middle man putting the mods somewhere. Im perfectly capable of doing all that myself"

Then why are you posting in this thread? leave it to those who find the "middle man " very helpfull and are gratefull for the obvious amount of work he puts into these...

sorry rant over...but there is a lot of thoughtless posting all over the site at the moment, must be the time of the month  :)

Peace  Cheers Dakpilot

Thx for the back DP and others, though no worries, installs are installs.  Though when reading CWMV's comment, I did not take the "middle man" as referring to me, but rather GME.  GME is the "middle man" which handles how the mods are loaded into DBW.

If anything, I am more of a ringmaster for the circus of employing mods in DBW in a working and organized way.   :)

Errr.. ok, my misunderstanding then.  So just do the FBDSM 06 sfs archive "null" replacement for now, and call it good then.

Yes, the "FBDSM Part 6" should not be used with UP3 or DBW because "Part 6" is outdated and will mess up your default Zero skins.

If you're looking for nice skins for JC's new Zeros in DBW / UP3 look here:

What do you do if you installed part 6? I did that and the zeroes are all screwed up. Geez you'd think a fat 60 year old fart could follow instructions. I tried removing the one file from part 6 and the game crashes.

Agreed, I have a campaign I am finished with but I just can't help waiting for Ranwers to release his Meteor so I can put it in there, and I may just go back and use the Static goodies and full C&C mod Wind has in his pack.  I have installed your Flying tigers campaign and have looked at almost every mission to see what you put into it.  I'm really strange that way, I'll break one open and look at it before I ever play it.  I just wish I had enough time to incorporate all the stuff you put into your maps, but between work and the wife running roughshod over my puter time, I'm lucky to get the coop campaign missions built for my group and working on my campaign. She either needs a hobby or a boyfriend so I can enjoy my hobby.....

I do exactly the same!  The biggest discovery I have made with FMB in recent years is cut and paste.  Using templates you can build up very detailed scenes with guys working on aircraft  or a whole C&C scene tested with dynamic weather/Aimpoint/ GNR/GCI/SPR/AFAC/DZ/Beacons etc and paste it into subsequent missons, then go back around and move it about individually!  I build each campaign in several passes like this and keep a note of which layer it is at.

Can't wait to try your campaign and the Meteor and I know Wind will help us by making an easy to install pack.  These JSGME Packs have enabled us to share a far greater variety of mods and missions.  Previously I just kept them to myself!
