Swiss biplane EKW C-35
« on: December 07, 2011, 10:23:44 AM »

Hello, Gentleman !

Back in 2003, I made a campaign for a Swiss fighter pilot in 1940, defending Swiss neutrality against the German Luftwaffe.

As we now have the map, and the planes, I think about redoing this campaign.

But I also need a special skin for this plane :

This is a EKW C-35. We do not have the plane in the game, but I think Letov S-238 or Polikarpov R-5 can be good hacks for it... I would like to find other profiles, but I don't find... this is the best I found !

I need it with 3 numbers, especially the C-125 which was shot down by Bf110 of the ZG1 on 8th June 1940, and 2 others (C-xxx).

So, if someone is interested...

Externally, the R-5 seems the first choice, but it lacks armament (the C-35 had 2 MGs and a 20 mm cannon firing forward, and a MG on the backseat firing backwards). So I guess the Letov is a better solution, but it has a radial engine, unlike the C-35...

Hello Gaston, here are images of some skins I made for Craken some time ago, before the R-5 was around I think.  Tom was intending to make a campaign with them but fatherhood put a hold on his creative endeavours. ;)

This I just did for myself.

You could send Tom a PM and ask if he would mind you using these and I will send you a link, there are blanks and insignia only, or alternatively you could post the request at M4T and Hayate may just do the R-5 for you if you ask him nicely.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Oh, great ! Exactly what I am looking for !!! If you could do a C-125 from the C-121 or C-123, would be just great !!!

Question : you speak about Cracken and about Tom... are they the same person ? because I know Cracken's works, but do not know Tom...

Hello Gaston, yes they are the same individual, Craken is the name he uses here and at M4T.

Not sure if I still have the the template with the layers for these aircraft still, but I will have a look for you and if so will do C-125.  Do you have a photograph or any kind of image showing that particular aircraft?  It would be useful to determine the colour of the code and which style of national insignia that aircraft carried.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

No,  no image available. The reason I wish to have this one is that it is the only of its type to have been shot down in combat, causing the death of the 2 crew mambers in 1940. All I know is that it has the standard camo you used on the other ones.

I will try to contact Cracken, hoping he will answer me !

edit : msg sent to Cracken... hope he will answer !!!

Hello Gaston, check your PM for the link to my 4Shared which has the skins I sent Tom.

The aircraft you requested will follow in the next few days. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

I remember your original campaign, and really enjoyed it. (I still have it on backup.) I look forward to the new one.

Hi Cloyd.

There will be no big changes in it, except that it will use the correct map, this time. And the correct planes too (Bf109E-3).

Hello Gaston, link for C-125 in your PM.

This is how one of the blanks looks on a stationary.

Looking forward to the campaign. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D
