Ashes,
what about the rest of the carriers?

ValleyForge, Boxer?... Colossus?... PeterStrasser, GrafZeppeling, Aquila?...

  Regards,
                             pablo

I will be adding those in Pablo. I have now completed the German list, including GZ.

It will help me a lot if any missing ones are posted in the thread in this style:

HMSFiji                3do/Ships/HMSFiji/Hier.him 1
HMSCossack         3do/Ships/HMSCossack/Hier.him 1
HMSJupiter           3do/Ships/HMSJupiter/Hier.him 1

All I then have to do is cut and paste the text.

Kopdorfer - What you suggest is already happening, but only for ships with multiple versions.
I see no signs of Yorktown CV5 appearing yet. There was an old thread but no recent news.

My intention is to include all ships in the list including civilians. The assault ship pack was added tonight.
All users can have the same list in their install but just deactivate any line entries that they do not need.
If they don't deactivate lines for ships for ships they do not have it does not create a problem. They will just get a blank"page" in the Object Viewer.

I was just using Yorktown as an example. I guess I should have stayed away from a desirable that could be construed as request. Sorry to all who got excited.
Glad to here a means of differentiation is happening.
There are NEVER too many ships to sink!

Kopfdorfer's concerns have already happenned in SAS's Ships&Vehicles section, and MODDers give them twists, solved.
Your opinion has been achieved.

He made US Navy's camo variations in each years.

And in my WIP project of IJN Battleships, I will also make year variations for IJN BBs like IJN Nagato BB in 1941,1942Early,1942Late,1944Early,1944Late, or... IJN Kongo BB in 1941,1942Early,1942Late,1944Early,1944Late.
I give their class names and display names suffix year/time like "/1944Early".
This technique is originated in Daidalos. Daidalos's IJN Kagero class's many variations have this suffix.

Thanks Gerax. Thats what I meant, but could you add the 1 or 2 at the end of the text line to designate allied or axis.

I have posted an updated list incorporating amendments in the first post.
This includes a check list of ships still to be added where they are not yet in the correct country section.

The Allied/Axis designation is in the chief.ini file -- also stationary.ini
file path for hier.him is in ships.ini

A Complete Ship List for Object Viewer
« Reply #17 on: December 12, 2011, 02:28:26 AM »

Here is a part complete master list.    File name is ship.ini -- not to be confused with ships.ini  :)
This should be pasted into your Mods/STD/i18n folder --- after backing up any existing file of this name. For non Classic Mod setups the location may vary.

This enables mod ships in the Object Viewer.
If you do not have all the ships installed then a blank page appears --- no game crash.
Text for each ship is added in ship_ru.properties. More on this to follow later.

Thanks Gerax. I've updated the download with those three.

There are still many which I have not sorted out the text entries for, such as Plowshares USN Carriers and others.
