About Anaglyph Stereo Googles / Glasses
« on: December 09, 2011, 04:16:09 PM »

People,
all what you need for my Stereo 3D MOD are very basic 3D googles / glasses. Only requirement is that they MUST BE Red / Cyan googles. Other combination will not work for you!

No special monitor, nothing to do with your graphics card (except new Mode C special for nVIDIA 3D cards). Only googles and you are done.

A great on-line resource covering eveything what you need to know about this and much more:

You can order googles from many different sites in the internet, from hundreds (and this is true) of providers. Just a sample:

If you don't have them, the DIY is already written. Just use the internet whenever you need something:

All what you need to do is hold in front of your left (from your position) eye a semi-translucent red film and in front of the right (from your point of view) a semi-translucent cyan film.

Regarding the separation: a better adjusted separation can make much more comfortable your experience. Default values of 1.5 for internal and 25 for external should be quite good for most of the people.

  Regards,
                      Pablo

I had these sports glasses that looked similar to this:

And I had no use for them and they were fairly cheap so I colored them accordingly (Red and Cyan) and came up with excellent 3D glasses.

Also if you have old prescription glasses that you can still wear they will also work. I use the sports glasses conversion and it works very well!  :)

I did do that with an older pair of perscription glasses. It is far better than glasses over glasses. Contacts are not recomended for correcting my eye site. Cornia implants are becoming a viable option for me as technology has come a long way in that area.
