Yak 3 n°27 of "Normandie-Niemen"
« on: December 16, 2011, 04:07:35 PM »

Good evening to all!
I wanted to know if somebody wanted to dash into the skin of the Yak 3 n°27 of "Normandie-Niemen".

Thank you in advance.

IIRC, there have been a number of Yak-3 skins produced for NN, although not specifically #27. Check Mission4Today and the francophone forums (i.e., http://www.checksix-fr.com/).

A real quick search yielded this:

http://www.checksix-fr.com/bibliotheque/index.php?Fichier=5937 (NN #22, by Navarro).

I believe that there are a number of other skins by talented French skinners such as Obelix.

There also used to be a number of NN Yak-3 skins on Asis.biz, but the links currently seem to be broken (perhaps on purpose).

Hello and thank you for your answer,
Effectively, several skins of the NN was made, n°22 has no same blue, this pouquoi I look for a skinner which can make this skins. That not Navarro is more in the purple...
J also look for this skin because contrary in beaucoups of planes of the NN by the end of the war this one adopts the French flag and the cross of Lorraine on its drift.

Thank you in advance  ;)
Friendly.

Over the years there have been a number of NN skins made, but it seems that many of them have been lost, and some of the ones that survive aren't up to current standards.

The NN yaks are some of the most colorful and unusual paint schemes, so I'm a bit surprised that they don't get more attention from skinners.

It's true, curious that they do not receive énormemment of attention of skinners... Maybe that anybody is going to want to make this skin?

Thank you in advance.

You speak about Lorillion's White 27 as Part of the Le Bourget Victory show.
The parade show at Wars end.
To my knowledge pictures exist showing it's tail with the croix-lorraine only,
the French flag there was very rare amongst the ~50 Yak-3 showing up.
Only white 22/Dourrarer is briefed through photographs.
One picture shows the row of parked Yaks and his tails, Douarrer's is exceptional,
for what reason, I don't know, even the commander's or 4 group commanders gals weren't applied that flag, geez!?
Now there's even a few planes which lack the small croix lorraine, the white arrows also had different styles,  ::)
there everything was getting weirdo and this Pack I left unfinished.
Another skinning Tip:
Numbers where not that narrow, but Black from style, try the Font Geometric706BT-Black i.e.,
shows up like original.

Check out my latest Skinpack called: The Rest of the Pack.7z, it contains
my abbandoned Normandie-Niemen/Le Bourget Pack and Yak-3 NN White 22 Douarrer.bmp.
Out of curiosity, one Yak-3 of this Mob really came up blank,
it was a replacement from the Russians. Yak-3 NN NM Le Bourget.bmp
Best wishes
