Thanks. Yeah I know it seems pretty simple, but I am just used to having to activate mods through some means most of the time, etc.

Nobody mentioned the building textures! Yesterday I was populating my Channel40 map and realized while fixing a texture (roof of MT Shed) that the RAF brick buildings looked much better and sharper in the original version...then I became paranoid becuase these files were not that big to be in need to be downgraded and if these were what else could be there which I havent noticed (my mistake)...

so my question is that is there a list or any clue to what to upgrade if I want all my hires textures back?

for example were the Slovakia buildings or map textures downgraded?

ps. if you got a 1024*1024 RGB tga file, thats 4 Mb, if you transform it into 256 color you'll get a 1 Mb file, thats max. 32 Mb if all textures slots are used, so why go 512*512?

I extracted file Highrestextures in my UP folder but there is no change?

I've just got here, so I'm late to the party... and had no idea about this.

When shopping for a new video card & PS unit, I split the decision on what I could afford, and what I wanted to do.

At the time, it was to play Cliffs of Dover, yet knowing there are years left on 1946's tires, chose the 2GB Nv 550ti.

VRAM, as I've read is good for texture loading, and why I thought it would "be better" than the 1GB Nv 560 overall.

Well, to summarize, Cliffs is still a "P.o.S." (for now?), however all my IL-2's, CFS's, FX's, and etc's., are awesome.

I'm dling your work on restoring these & know that it was Time you have now shared with us and am grateful for it.

I would like to know if HSFX 6 users have high resolution map textures in game or  the low ones. Do we need this mod to get high resolution textures in HSFX 6 maps?

Hi. HSFX has never deliberatley reduced map textures from 1024 to 512. There are some texes that are 512 anyway, but that's how they are. All that HSFX ever does is change RGB texture files to Indexed. This saves SO much space and game loading time - all mapmakers please note.
