I have traced down a bug that is caused by something to do with the Uranium Effects mod. When I fly less than about 16 meters above water,my AC "freezes" in place.Control surfaces,canopy,throttle,landing gear,and some other features are operable.If I turn off the engine my AC will again fly normally.Seaplane take off is impossible because I get the freeze whenever I exceed 12kph while taxiing.These problems only appear when I enable the mod.
 I have a pretty good machine and am running Il2 on the second core. I tried the tweeks at UP but have noticed no difference. Help? Ideas?

Try to press shift+tab to open console and tell us the first lines of error message there. Maybe the problem is with the wake effect on water (after ships, waterplanes and low flying planes), do your ships move normally? Perhaps some file is missing or a conflict with some mod changing that wake effect.

Will do,Birdman. I gotta go so I'll be back later today.
I have some ideas what may be causing this but I'll do the shift/tab dealie when I get back.
EDIT.....Corrupted files. DL'ed and reinstalled and it works like a charm.Thanks for the shift/tab clue.I had forgotten about that.

@ HolyGrail : Any chanche to have Uranium edition (V2 ?:) with a bit  more big overall smokes from dmg planes (light grey damage, medium & oil leak) in sfs format? or at least uncompressed one.. ;) I know this will be not full Historical but...

our mods are full historical, and at the moment our effort are aimed in other direction,
so answer is now as uranium is the more close to reality that we can did with Il-2
old graphic engine.

No matter what, You Dudes Rock weather be it historic or better than. If you guys made real explosions I would love to be as close to the TV as I could. Thanks for your contribution and CNN will be in touch. ;)

things should be always better but we're afraid the very next version of realistic
effects smokes and fires will be called BoB:SoW  :D ;D

nice mod, although i have to say about 1/2 of the effects i love, the other half are so so, which i am attempting to wrk on a tad to get it looking nice

Hi  panzer1b ,

the other 1/2 is looking so so because there is no game effects support files for them which some were created literarily out of thin air like a house fires and smokes or once you will figured out that many effects are sharing the very same effects file between each other , then you will more understand why some of the effects are not sheer mind-boggling visual beauty .
The only current way to move a huge leap forward is by editing effects class files but not much can be done by working with the original game effects files set up .

Swell job on these effects! However, I've noticed, my ships now belch thick black smoke. For a minute, I thought they had been torpedoed. On approach to CVEs, can  barely see the deck. otherwise, she runs and looks great. Any suggestions on things I might try to fix ship smoke?

Hello duffys tavern ,
please check it out if you have any other effects mod enabled and if yes disable these
and try it again to see if anything changed .
If you can take a screenshot so we can see in more detail what you're talking about
would be really great .
If you simply happen to run at the same time some other effects package mod , it should be
disabled as there might be also possible class file conflict .
