Gauges missing!
« on: January 23, 2012, 11:17:51 AM »

I will do my best to describe my problem.

I am running DBW with 4.10.  I was about to fly my P-51C (stock airplane) and all my gauges were blank.  Every single gauge was white.  I have no idea where to start in order to solve this problem.  It is only on this plane that the gauges are gone.  My p-51D and B models have the gauges working perfectly.  Any help is much appreciated.

BTW: If you want me to explain further please let me know.

Did you add any mod just before? What version of DBW?

I have DBW 1.6.  I have added a few mods (see picture below).  I have jivers sound mod activated in jsgmemods.

Hmm. I don't know. Suggestion, maybe deactivate your mods and see if problem fixed, if it is, add mods back one by one to see which is culprit.

disabled every mod I had and disabled all in jsgmemods and still gauges are white.
What else should I try?  Maybe a fresh install?

I think this has something to do with your graphic card/settings. I dunno which one, but I think some setting in the conf ini should fix it. I also had that once on my old computer.
Maybe someone who knows the conf better can tell.

all suggestions so far are good- one other option would be to apply a p-51c cockpit mod on top?

- if that works you may have corruption in your files?- any hard lock ups/crashes recently?

could also try settings in SAS selector

good luck

I applied the cockpit mod and it worked!
What files do you think are corrupted?
I would like to know where the files are located for the gauges of airplanes.

they're 'hidden' in the cockpit.sfs files

personally i'm guessing somehow one of the .mat files is corrupted- you could test which one(s) by commenting out each file individually and seeing which one 'fixes' the problem - that'll take some time tho :P

i'd be slightly more concerned that it COULD be a sign of a failing hard drive- might be a good time to back up data- just in case ;)
it could also be 'one of those things'

anyway glad you're up and flying 8)

I keep having this problem where my gauges are missing.  I was hoping that anyone that knows the conf ini well could help me.
What settings in the conf.ini could help my solve the problem?
