no ammo outside?
check the inside.
find the magic button, and the good stuff will appear below the fuselage.

Read my post, I could not find the so called Magic button that is why I asked, from the flippant answer you don't either.   If someone who's not as petulant could supply the answer I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks in advance.

F-86D45 load outs 24xRRAR Mk4 nothing shows up ... I have looked in the hotas controls and have used Toggle weapon system/Gunpods/Weapon fire mode, and nothing works.

"Magic button" as HundertzehnGustav smugly named it is the "Open Close Bay Door" to have the rockets working in DBW1.7.  ;D

Thank you Sir, I greatly appreciate the help............ where was that info, I went back and looked again going over the 1.7 read me twice more and could not find that gem of information.

Thanks again.

This is not a complaint but rather a question.  The PE-8 is not flyable in DBW 1.7.   I have put the make flyable cockpit in the DBW folder but it still does not show up in the game.   The PE-8 shows up in the UP game and it does have the cockpit in the mods folder.   So what am I missing here?

Weird, the Pe-8 cockpit worked for me, but the IL-4 did not.  strange.....both work in UP3

To all that have the "I click the icon and nothing happens" issue.

This happened to me and it was because I tried a high ram setting before running the game. It was a setting that had worked with 1.6 but not with 1.7. As Storebror and others have warned, be sure to begin your first attempts with a low setting (like the default) and then experiment upwards.

This may apply to other problems as well.

This was the first thing I tried after I clicked and got no response, didn't seem to have an effect.  I tried doing some research on what might cause it, but didn't really get anywhere.  When in doubt, reinstall.

Poltava: you hit the nail on the head.  Going step by step and testing after each step will ensure you get it done right, even if it takes a bit longer.  I find making fun of myself and the situation helps keep me from getting too mad  8)

I just copy-pasted my DBW 1.6 installation and installed above the 1.7 and worked fine (but with the stock air.ini list) Please give me list of the missing planes, so I can start work.

I think that you choose yourself which planes are missing for you ... as far as I know there is no master list of all mod planes ever made.

Besides,if you start importing dozens and dozens of of new planes and mods you are still going to end up with limits to the number you can install in one go ... for instance the new P-61's are still heavy on the java limit for some reason ...

From what I've tried so far, you can indeed import many more new mod planes into 1.7 than was possible with 1.6, but there are still limits.
