Hello.
I installed Il-2 1946, patched to 4.101, installed UP3.0 and patched to RC4. Everything was working fine. Then I downloaded DBW 1.0-1.7, followed the instructions carefully. I opened the Il-2 Selector, chose DBW but when I try to start the game, nothing happens and the Il-2 exe is only about 157Kb.
But when I try to start the game in UP3 mode, everything works again and il-2 exe is around 5Mb.

Did that. Nothing changed.

Fixed. Clean install did the trick

Thanks for the reply HundertzehnGustav … it got me to reread the Feb 3 post by CirX and the second sentence solved my problem …

It says …“Alternate Download location in case you get some "index.php" file when trying to download the attachment: DBW 1.71 Hotfix”

I now have a working copy of DBW 1.71 by upgrading my original 1.6 to 1.7 then applying this 1.71 Hotfix.   In a few days I’ll have to redownload the 1.71 Superpack and try again to see if I can make that work too.

well you just did it the manual way... i gather, if that superpack is "any good"  , using the superpack will make life even easier for DBW players.

hello.?'ve installed 1.7 over my excellent working 1.6 Dbw install.i deactived everthing from Jsgme mod enabler before install.Everything works fine.when i go to Qmb some aircraft do not appear in the list.when i start the game with one of that aircrafts game starting i see the map in gray.but when i select one of the planes appers on the list everthing is fine.any help would be great.im a noob in these modding things

Try something simple first
In DBW there are numerically less planes available, because a bunch of planes that were very similar have been "merged".

i tried but still the same.Fw190 d9-11 series, most of 109 series are missing.

well if 1.6 worked, i can suggest going back to your 1.6 backup and trying again?
i suppose it was a clean install, without any extras and complicated addons?

no backup:) im going to remove the whole game and reinstall to 1.6 without mod or addon and make sure it's working.then ill try 1.7. let you know what happens.
