How do you resize pilot skin Bmp.
« on: February 02, 2012, 07:41:41 PM »

OK,  I've put my own face on a pilot skin and saved it as a bmp. file 256 x 256.  The file size is 192 kb and I believe it needs to be 65 kb to work.

How do I resize the image from 192 kb to 65 kb ?

I used GIMP,  but I have many other photo editing programs (but not much knowledge obviosly). Been at it for hours . . . any help would be greatly appreciated.

Strange ... the original reply to my question seems to have disappeared ?

here it is

Download Irfanview (Free) and open your image with it.
Under the image tab click on Decrease Colour Depth and save the image.
Presto - your 192 kb image is now 65 kb
