http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=1339Installing instructions: Install just like any other planes. If you're on DBW you need the DBW weapons complement in your #DBW folder. If you're on custom pack, you need the "custom install" weapons complement and DiffFM mod. FM file in currently only for v4.10.1m based versions.
Here are the air.ini entries so that you can see what is included in this pack:
F4U-4 air.F4U_4 2 usa01 SUMMER
F4U-4B air.F4U_4B 2 usa01 SUMMER
F4U-5 air.F4U_5 2 usa01 SUMMER
F4U-5N air.F4U_5N 2 usa01 SUMMER
AU-1 air.AU_1 2 usa01 SUMMER
AU-1 was not included in previous editions of this pack. She is a specialized variant for ground attack that carries a punch and has a special armor protection (as real one). You can notice bullets hitting the armor:
All loadouts are rewritten to have 1 weapon fired at a time instead of pairs:
Also the F4U-5N now has working "flame hiders" for its cannons :
Before:
Now:
On version 2: AU-1 exhaust pipes adjusted to fit photos and the defaults kins by Starfighter311, Red_Fox90 radar pod and tanks integrated, plus what you see below
A lot of thanks to Dreamk who first made the F4U4-5 pack and another very big credit goes to 101tfs for adding better 3d to all late corsairs (specially engines
). Crazyflak was the mechanic that put together the slots, debugged classfiles and created AU-1. Then I tweaked and fixed the 3d a lot, for example, markings for all countries are now working.
All these planes now have new FMs that are just quick edits of v4.10.1m Corsair FMs. Sources had somewhat contradicting information, but the used engine types and powers are listed in the readme. Top speeds should now be roughly correct at correct altitudes and the differences in superchargers and supercharger controls are now modeled. We have used the listed empty weights and this made F4U-4 about 400 kg lighter than the overweighted stock F4U-1, so this may make these turn surprisingly well. If you have good reference material and the knowledge to improve the FMs of all Corsairs, we are happy to see your improved FMs.
Happy flying with the debugged and tweaked late Corsairs
