1920x1080 resolution

Can someone explain to me again how to get the higher 1920x1080 resolution in IL2? I had it working once before but I had to start over with a fresh install and now I can't get it to work. I have an unmodded install updated to 4.101 with the SAS Modact 3.06 installed.

Here is the bit of my conf.ini  that does the job for me.

[window]
width=1920
height=1080
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=0
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0

ATi's 12.1 has problems. 1920x1440 is gone, others removed also or just won't work.
Went back to 12, all fixed.

Okay, I have the #SAS Ecran wide 4101 enabled in the JSGME, and I have my conf.ini modified like Toads, but I still only get 1600 x 1200 for a maximum resolution, in setup or in the game. Obviously I am missing something...

Okay, I remembered that on my system for some reason the 1920 x 1080 selection shows up as 640 x 480. So I select that and I get the higher resolution.

So I have the higher resolution but my sky and pretty much everything that isn't a building is all black. I don't know what happened there...

@brettt777: go here to fix the black background issue, it's a problem with ATI drivers and perfect mode in il-2 https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,16872.msg181546.html#msg181546.  Put the conf.ini settings into your conf.ini (ignore the stuff about the atioglxx, you don't need it.
