Be careful to add the "New Vehicles Package 3 update" TO the "3 package".

I didn't first time around and got a 70% crash.

D'oh.

Cheers,

Congratulations Toad!  The first customer, is it all working for you?  How about that opening movie mate?

Time to leave my High Elf Mage at Winterhold College to learn himself some spells and shit and go blast the Jerries out of North Africa.

Cheers,

EXACTLY!  Give that man a cigar!  I reckon a lot of the old hands will be way ahead of me on this.  I would rather work towards your standard than water down the campaign.

Looking forward to seeing what you make of it.

As I said mate, we campaign builders stand on the shoulders of giants!  Your model work is nothing short of brilliant!

This campaign looks amazing! Ill have to get it the second i get home. Seriously, the level of immersion. Its all well having great objects in the game but without missions for them.... This is exactly what I need right now! Thanks

Sorry to hear that purgatorio, the quick fix hasn't worked for you, never mind.  I may have to re-examine that, although there is no empirical evidence yet that my files are at fault.

So far this would indicate that you have something missing regarding the mods.  I have checked the links, they all check out.  I would advise you firstly to try this sequence.

1-BACKUP your #DBW/STD folder
2-Try installing the first mod on the list by yourself, make your own ini entries as instructed in the readme.
3-Proceed through the rest of them.  Test each time.
4-Don't forget to update package 3, a last little step that TT alerted us to, easily missed.

You should be able to get the Mods working from their original threads.

70% CTD with provided inis on clean DBW 1.71. :-\

though I know how to modify ini files, it's not my cup of tea messing around with them. I prefer campaigns that work with plain DBW or require nothing more than an additional aircraft or so.

maybe a solution would be to set the required ini files up in a jsgme folder (#DAF_Addon). player downloads and drops the required mods into the folder ...\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 DBW\jsgmemods\#DAF_Addon\#DBW and activates it when needed.

No mate.  There are six mod links and five of them need a bit of ini tweaking.  Epervier's instructions are crystal clear, and many would attest to the fact that they work fine and look great.

So the challenge is; get out of your comfort zone, and get your hands dirty.

AS ALWAYS BACK UP FIRST - Just make a copy of #DBW /STD and move it to another part of your disc.  eg:Don't leave a 'Copy of STD' in your mods folder, that gets read and loaded first!  (Oh how I laughed when I did that one!)

If you can download, text edit, copy, paste and save you can EASILY do this.  The rewards in terms of the new objects will greatly exceed the effort, and you will be a modder my son!

EDIT: I was wrong, you were right!  Thanks to 78thFG_WindWpn for the DAF JSGME Addon Pack!
