Game problems?
« on: February 26, 2012, 03:51:45 AM »

Hello there, i had very great help from you guys last time when installing Ultra Pack and DBW, so i was hoping you could help me out again.

I used to play Sturmovik before, and i was sure that when i got hit by enemy aircraft, my airplane would begin to start smoking, catch fire etc, or my engine would get shot and would slowly loose power, so i would struggle to get back to base, was this a mod or is it one of the difficulty switches i have set wrong?

On another note, when you install a new mod, do you have to restart the whole campaign again for it to work or does it work instantly?

Please and thank you.

no, the mod works instantly. no campaign restarts necessary or anything.

about the damage, what you describe is whats in the game without any mods :)

hi gunny
the stock standard game has always had smoke, fire, damage, etc....there may be new effrects mods for it, but the principle is that it's part of the stock game.
if your plane isn't getting damaged, etc, then most likely one or more of your difficulty settings need to be changed.
generally, installing a new mod should not affect any campaigns, and you should be able to install it and carry on.
there might be one or two exceptions with particular mods, but, generally, unless you're installing a whole new mod pack or something, you should be able to continue as you were with your campaign. ;)

edit: and once again, 'quick-draw' Hundertz has been typing at the kind of insane speeds that i guess only Germans are capable of, being half-mechanical and all, lol...:D
