Install procedure for a newbie
« on: February 27, 2012, 03:07:26 PM »

 Been away for awhile from IL46.

 I currently have version 4.09m with UP 2.01 installed.

 From two days of looking through the website, and from cleaning up my drool. It looks like for offline play I need to go up to 4.101? and I need UP 3, then I need the newest DBW?

 Or has the one or two click install DBW actually been released?

 Does this also include the mod so that AI gunners don't have lasers?

 The UP3 and DBW will also get me some WWI stuff and some after WWII jets, am I correct in thinking this?

 Thanks for the help with this.

First off start a fresh install, with nothing touched, so it's 4.07 then;

1:) https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,21514.0.html < Go here and grab the pack in the second post.

2:)Install as it suggests to do,

3:)Enjoy.

If you dont miss one of the instructions in the install thread you'll be fine.

take your il 2 1946 game fresh out of the oven: let it cool down before handling; take ypur downloaded copy of sas f**ng big superpack(note the pristine packaging, feel the love with which it was made), apply to your virgin il 2 1946 game in version 4.07 with gentle tender loving care, garnish with select campaigns of your choice, and then, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! superb! 8) 8) :o :o dont forget to thank the revered, wise ,kindly mr. cirx for the fruit of his labor in packaging this baby monster and also bless the other happy elves here at sas without which this il2 paradise wouldn't exist it is because of their devotion to duty and their love of this sim that we can bask in the afterglow of a superbly well executed , thoroughly and exquisitely modded to perfection il2!!! ;D ;D isn't this a lovely place? and of course, cheers and keep em flying. ta ta!! ;) ;)
