DCG Battle of Britain 1940 V1.3 DBW
« on: April 03, 2012, 08:49:31 PM »

Hi,
Tested with DBW 1.71 and DCG 3.47 (strongly recommended)!

Added the "Dornier Do-17Z V2", by "Ranwers/SAS~crazyflak/Wolfighter & Hollygrail/RDDR/Rock & Grief" to the campaign, also new ships by "ashehouse" and other things!
When aircraft should still explode at mission start and the like, please post here!

update 6.4.2012:
Replaced the Bf-110C1 with the C4 version! Dont know why, but DCG creates for the C4 AI better missions (more offensive instead of "protect airfield" missions)!
Made some changes in class.dcg and payloads.dcg for related planes, like the Ju-88! This type should now attack ships in the first subcampaign!

Many thanks to Paul Lowengrin for his support and Dynamic Campaign Generator,
canonuk for this detailed, historical map, "Slink" for the reworked .dcg files for V3.47
and all Modders from SAS/AAS/FM for their mods!

Excellent Lonestar!  Downloaded and running great.  Enabled with Jafa's new sound beta (of course, set up in a CLEAN JSGME pack), those early RAF and DE warbirds sound awesome!

I am not 100% sure of the 109 types! I added the E3 and E4 to the campaigns or flew only the E3 during BOB?

Shouldnt matter too much, considering you can pick the planes in DCG that everyone uses. I understand some want pinpoint accuracy, but considering the outcome of DCG campaigns, that isnt always going to happen. I actually like the "what if's" better anyway. I already know what happened in real life, but what if _____ never won _____ battle makes it fun.

On a side note, are you releasing anymore DBW DCG campaigns soon?

Hi,
Right, its no big differents between these types! It would only be interesting!

The next goes again in the Pacific, the Makin campaign will be the next project!
Between I'm trying to make some old campaigns DBW compatible!
I think, "Slink", "Wind" and others will make campaigns for the ETO/MTO!

Seven missions in so far - works like a charm! Great campaign. I'm trying to add beacon's to Canon's map so I can listen to the BBC (no luck yet)  . . . but that's for another post.

Talking about Pacific campaign's - I'd love to see the Solomon's campaign updated for DBW. I beleive Slink did an update for 1.6 but there was no F4U-1 birdcage (Shudder !) and maybe a Rabaul campaign (or add-on).

I also would love to see the entire New Guinea fiasco redone - new map, missions, etc. It was such a large and pivital point of the Pacific war and it was kind of a Mickey Mouse effort put out by Pacific fighters.

Thanks again ! looking forward to more dynamic campaigns

Thats awesome. Looking forward to them! I would be in Utopia if your older campaigns came to DBW. I am sure a ton of other folks feel the same.

Yes,you´re right,I´m one one of them! ;D

Lonestar, may I ask you something? You say,the next goes again in the pacific.Thats my favourite area.so,it is possible to make a complete japanese army grad campaign? I mean from the very beginnng of this conflict,
the china incident´38 till singapore, burma and so on,untill the bitter end on the home isles. I think with DBW,we actually have the most maps, planes and objects for a project like this.
What do you think?

@tanda01 and semor
Hi,
Glad that you like the campaigns, but to make an entire New Guinea map,a grand campaign for the JA of the entire war, a Rabaul add on and between old campaigns compatible for DBW, is a bit too much for one guy!!!
Would be cool, but I recommend to start your own campaign projects, so we could merge our work and have it all a bit easier! ;)
