When I try to run DBW 1916 using IL-2Selector.exe it crashes at 60%. Does anyone else have this problem or have any recommendations on how to fix?

I had the same problem ...... until I lowered the RAM setting in the selector to 256.

For some strange reason, 1916 requires a lower setting than standard DBW (on my rig - YMMV).

Do you get the same bug as I do? that the screen claims that the game is 1.6, not 1.71, and then crashes at 60%. And can you load the "normal" DBW game at all?

Up-boomer. When I installed them the fixes the game stopped crashing at 60%. Now it crashes at 70 instead.

I suspect that the torrent is corrupted and will download them one and one and make a new attempt..

just to clarify - there is a difference.

DBW 1916 = 1.6. that is normal. Just as it is meant to be
DBW "regular" = 1.71. that is normal as well.

@Jerlerup ~ have you tried reducing your Max RAM size in the selector? - it worked for me

Ah 1.6 = 1916. Ok! .-)

But still DBW is dead (the normal one) the game 1916 freezes at 70% if I dont deactivate all mods. If I do so I can start the game but not fly any planes.

The reduced RAM size did not help me.

it is logical that you need to deactivate all "normal DBW" mods, if you switch to DBW1916.
what do you mean you can not fly any planes? please describe what happens, from the moment you launch the game.

A new question to you with the 60% crash. Disable ALL mods with the generic Mod enabler, except UP 3.0. (Open the selector and do a safe after disabeling them)

If you do that, what happens then? Does the program start? can you fly the QMB with the ww1 planes?

The DBW mods should apperently ONLY be installed with the stock game.

before DBW1916 remove everything, including UP3, in JSGME (move to the left)

and no, these are not bugs. i repeat NOT bugs.
else, other people would have the same problem. hundreds of people would spam this forum and scream and burn down the house. so far. we have a handsful....

For DBW1916 try to delete .last.quick (or LastMission.quick if you don't have QMBPro by Pal) from Quicks in the root folder.
This is a file wich remember your last selection in the QMB, since the aircraft and maps list in 1916 is different than DBW you could have some issue
